We were very happy with the hotel for a 2-night getaway from Phoenix. The hotel is in a prime location and walkable to Whiskey Row. The interior design was by West Elm. Really nice.
The room was extremely comfortable with high end finishes, soaps, beddings, towels, etc. The free breakfast is well worth it! Staff was pleasant and got the job done. The pool and sitting area were well maintained.
I had 3 issues, hence the 4 star review. I was disappointed in Hotels.com not disclosing the $7 daily parking fee. Second, one of our mattresses was well beyond its time. It taco-ed. I let the front desk know and they sent up the team to check it out. They claimed it was brand new. The front desk said they flip and rotate quarterly. The other mattress in the room was much more firm. Pushing on the mattress to test it is a lot different than lying on it for 8+ hours of sleeping. Needless to say they offered us the option of changing rooms, but for one more night, I didn’t want to go through the hassle of changing rooms. I let them know again at check-out that they needed to remove the mattress in room 325. Lastly, when did high-end hotels stop servicing the rooms daily? They forgot to ask me at check-in. We ended up coming back to an untidy room. They quickly apologized and made it right.
We would stay here again. The issues were not something that would dissuade me not too. Just a few things to be aware of. Nice job, team, but get rid of that mattress.
