Disappointing hotel room
This hotel had an excellent stafff!
However, the room was very poor. Everything was old and in bad condition. It really was not like any Japan hotels I ever stayed at and especially for the price I paid. If it wasn’t for the excellent hotel staff it would have been a terrible experience.

Major disappointment except for breakfast
I will not likely ever stay at this hotel if I can help it. It’s an old hotel that needs a major remodeling. Bath room had that cheap hotel smell that’s unique to Japan. It was not unclean but had that peculiar smell that was offensive to your nose. Breakfast was exceptional and was just about the only thing I could recommend about this establishment.

Comfortable and Convenient!
Location was literally in the middle of the funnest nightlife district in Fukuoka! Easy walk to subway, restaurants, and all points of interest! Staff were amazingly friendly! Room was ecofriendly and had all the amenities! View (9th floor inner courtyard) was outstanding! Just a tiny bit dated but they are currently renovating (never heard a sound). Great price for 4 stars!

Love this hotel! Only thing I would change was the room we got. Pretty small but I think that is how it is in Japan. Next time I will probably get a larger room.

Good location, tiny rooms
I chose this hotel to be close to the Hakata ferry port which is about 10 minutes in a taxi. It's also in the nightlife district so lots of restaurants and bars to visit but a bit seedy the later it gets.
The hotel and rooms are very tired and need renovating. The Hollywood Twin room is tiny, nowhere to store bags besides at the end of the bed subsequently consuming the entire floor space, so climbing over them for the bathroom in the dark was a challenge. Bathroom also dated and small, and the showers are not good for people over 5ft 8in.

Nice location, friendly staff, But don't be fooled by the property pictures here. The room and building conditions were poor. I could smell disgusting smoking in the room, hallway, and evelators even though they said smoking is prohibited except for the designated areas.
