A magical get away
My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay. The Chateau is well situated for visiting the area. Arudy, the village just south is charming and has restaurants, gas stations and supermarkets. It is easy to get to great hikes and attractions. Elizabeth is quite helpful in suggesting places to go. The Chateau itself is beautiful. Our rooms were a bit eccentrically decorated, which adds to the charm. Mine had a spectacular view over the Pyrenees. I could hear owls through the open windows at night. The gardens outside appear to be undergoing renovation and I’m sure will be splendid. Both my friend and I plan to recommend the Chateau de Druon to friends. My only suggestion is that you drive slowly and watch out for the resident “Scotties”.

Unusual bed and breakfast chateau
Fabulous bed and breakfast chateau. Interesting items in garden. If you like unusual things try room 20eme which is very interesting. The chateau is full of interesting artistic items.

Loved the whole experience
We loved this place. The rooms are very individually themed - Elizabeth and Gilles were fantastic hosts, the food was amazing and we really enjoyed it. It’s a shame we couldn’t have stayed longer but we will be back next time we are in the area -

The property is out of this world! As soon as you enter the property, you feel like you have stepped in history, The view is spectacular, and the rooms are all different with each their own atmosphere and decoration. The host is a gem and will take you off your feet with her warm welcome and table d'hote! Definitively, a must stay.

What a wonderful place! This chateau has been lovingly restored back to its former glory by the current owners with modern elements and artwork incorporated. We had one of the largest rooms in the house and could only marvel at the details the owners had thought of in the restoration. The room was extremely comfortable lacking nothing. Breakfast was scrumptious and we had the opportunity to meet other guests. The owners were extremely attentive and helpful in every way. There was an option to have dinner which needed to be decided at least 24 hours before. Unfortunately our schedule did not allow us to take advantage of it. If you are looking for accommodations in the area, you must stay at Chateau de Druon. It is a unique experience.
