We are returning customers (one night a year) for several years as the property is reasonably clean, central location, free hot breakfast, etc. This time, part of the A/C cover is missing, exposing a thick layer of dust over the A/C filter. We asked front desk if they can find a cover to put it back on, they said there is nothing they can do and many customers checked in the same room without any issues. We hesitated a bit and then we were offered to move to another room. We got the key and went checked out the room - the old-building odour was so strong we can't even stay longer than 30 seconds. We returned the key to the front desk and stayed in the original room - tried to ignore/not looking at the dust pile...
