Almost 5*
Overall view …. Good. The only disappointing part was on arrival we were told that there was no breakfast. On our booking form FREE BREAKFAST was listed but told there was not going to be one. Having said that… we were supplied a free continental after much debating. Still overall …. I would very much recommend this establishment as all were friendly and the evening food we sampled was lovely.

A cozy stay
The pod is so cozy and perfect for a few days away. As an American family we are a little more used to larger beds but the smaller scale beds seemed to be the usual in Scotland. Carly was very helpful and personable. Their restaurant was delicious. Hot tub is an extra bonus. We loved everything and recommend Juniperlea Inn! Btw we did hire a car and parked at Wallyford park and ride when going to Edinburgh.

Comfortable stay
Nice room and very comfortable bed. Small touches like coffee maker and fresh milk in the fridge were nice. Only thing I could mark it down on was some black mould around the bath taps and shower screen which should really have been spotted by whoever cleans the bathroom. Otherwise excellent and will definitely stay here again if visiting Edinburgh.

The hotel was perfectly located and out of the way, with an excellent pub/restaurant area and great food. The hospitality was first class.

Good place to stay. A little far from city but we figured out what to do. Close to well traveled road. Not a major issue for us but for some it could be

Overnight stopover.
We arrived to find the restaurant was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Room was well appointed. Breakfast was left in the room. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi suffered damage in a storm and was unavailable 4 weeks after the storm .

Cozy room
The room was cozy and comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly and there was a nice selection of snacks and breakfast items in our room. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and the bar was good too. Our only complaint was that there was no WIFI for our entire stay which made it difficult for planning some activities due to the fact everything is booked online these days.

This location could be brilliant but it needs a lot of work. It looks tawdry and needs to up its game....if it wants to.
