Beautiful house, conviniently located within walking distance to all attractions..It is located in a real Cuban part of Havana where locals live. We felt safe without any isdues and we waked everywhere. Spotless clean casa, hard working staff who are friendly and supportive. Amazing preordered lunch and great cheaf! Our last lunch before our way to the airport was absolutely fantastic , chicken, fish, rice, potatoes, salad, fruit....the best meal we have ever had on any of our joyrneys. They can arrange transportation, exchange money for a good rate. David the owner is always available, great communication from the start, before we made our journey to Havana, until the end. We spent all together 5 nights. We higly recommend this property and those lovely people. I would only recommend improving breakfast. It was a buffet syle and it mainly consisted of different types of jam, different types of cakes, fruit, cooked potato, one type of cheese but no sausages or ham .Eggs were only served on request, but limited to 2. When we asked for 3 eggs for my son who could not eat any bread or cakes as being gluten intolerant, it was an issue. We were told 2 eggs only, by a recepcionist, so we had to go for the breakfast somewhere else where that was not a problem, and there were more choices, so we did. Regardless of that, we loved the property and its people.

This Casa was great. It was in central Havana, so close to everything. The staff were fab and pretty much took care of all our needs. We even had a sit down at the beginning to help us navigate Cuba. They have food should you wish to dine in. The place was very clean and the room was huge. The only suggestion would be don’t take the rooms near the courtyard. The place is immaculately clean because they start cleaning at 6am and go throughout the day. This meant being woken up at 6am every day and listen to them cleaning the courtyard until they finished, then going back to sleep. Other than that all was excellent!

Access to Center Havanna. This is important in Cuba. Because Taxis are going to be one of the most substantially priced commodities while you’re there due to the liters per person per day gas regulations. We must be appreciative of that. The Casa wonderfully arranges a taxi when needed.I had the pleasure of the beautiful vintage baby blue one. There is WiFi available. Not strong enough to work with a VPN - but yes for all else. The food made in this kitchen was the most plentiful & delicious I had in a casa. The chef makes his own hot sauce. I feel that’s important to know as spices are scarce in general. He makes magic. Please note the average tip for dining is $250CUP=$1.00US - if one really enjoys the service is average $500CUP=$2.00US. Always tip. This honors the visa one enters the country with. The bedrooms are clean, regal & cozy. This casa is always being sanitized throughout the day. I give this a 5 star. In the lobby many resources available, exchange at a much beater rate than in airport can be arranged. Assistance with luggage delays (which seems to be prominent during holidays due to families bringing things to their loved ones during this season.) The lobby will help guide you with any questions you may have. I’d say this is a gem. There is overnight security. In short, I slept like a baby.

Beautiful lodgings abd value
Fantastic hotel in central Havana. Although the area doesn't look promising the rooms and furniture are fabulous. Wifi is not provided in rooms however often can be accessed. Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful especially Derry Naus and Carla. During a lengthy stay they helped me with any and every problem and always made time despite being very busy.

Exceptional travel back in time
This property was exhilarating! From the outside you would never know such beauty lies within! The open-air courtyard is an inviting common area with a small pond with fish and a turtle. The rocking chairs and tropical plants surrounded by ancient stone walls and 20-foot ceilings are relaxing. Each room is refreshed with renovation and restoration and graced by stunning glass chandeliers. Original artefacts and antiques are everywhere as though you have stepped back in time to a period of long lost luxury, class and pride. The stunning furniture, chairs, tables, armoires, cabinets, mirrors and piano are seemingly as they were left when this was a family home 100 years ago. The wifi was pay for a day, very affordable at only $1 but only available in the courtyard. My older cellphone couldn't locate the network but my tablet was able to do so. Every morning there was a simple but fresh buffet breakfast available for a fee, but coffee, juices (pineapple, guava or papaya) and water was free to guests. The front desk staff were exceptional and provided assistance and full service arrangements for any activity or destination. They all spoke at least some English, as well as French with a few other languages, so there is always the ability to communicate well with someone if your Spanish is limited. Our check-in host Greece was very helpful in every way. We had the Library Room, which was like a museum, filled with antiquities, art and books to appreciate without touching.

4/10 Fair

We had great trip in Havana, however the staff at the casa were very superficial and trying to milk every penny off us, which spoiled our stay. We asked at the front desk for suggestions for trips to viñales, the lady working at the front desk said that there are no group tours, only private. We agreed to pay €150 for 2 people private taxi to viñales and back. Driver was watching pornography in the taxi whith us in the back. We got scammed there. We were taken to a "farm with no tobacco plants, a sleezy man claiming to know how to roll tobacco when he didn't. Unlucky for them, my grandparents were actually tobacco farmers, nothing represented any farming they were doing there. Another group that shortly joined us left quickly when they realised this was a scam. We were meant to visit cabves, but taxi driver claimed it was shut. €150 for a 3hours riding to viñales for a 30min tour is ridiculous. The lady at the front desk also recommended us typical tourist trap restaurants when we asked for authentic cuban food. Thankfully David at the casa gave us some nice suggestions. Wifi didn't work in our casa, when we told reception they just spoke in spanish and shrug their shoulders. The lady working at the front desk is clearly in some deal with the taxi driver and the scammers in viñales. The last 3 days we ended up staying in a different hotel with wifi, which made our experience in Havana better. It's easy to make good money off tourists by providing good service, without scam.
