Fabulous Experience
So often I have to stay in large hotel chains and coming to The Craftsman is anything but that kind of experience. Firstly, the warm staff are so generous with their time and expertise. We arrived early and they made us comfortable with coffees and a seat in the dining room. The breakfast was ample but simple and was a great start to the day's activities. The hotel is located convenient to nearly everything a first-time visitor could want. As second-time visitors, we also really enjoyed the how convenient things still were. The rooms was unique and comfortable -- designed with such care and attention to detail. Can't wait to come back soon!

I had accidentally made a booking error, but the staff here were incredibly accommodating and quickly resolved everything, ensuring my husband and I had an amazing stay! The rooms are beautifully decorated, paying tribute to various craftsmen and their trades. The location is unbeatable, and the breakfast was exquisite—delicious and elegantly presented! Go for the Miller room!

Beautiful hotel in a great location, easy to walk around the city. We stayed in one of the lofts, which had a lovely view of the canal. Breakfast was included and delicious. They have thought of all the little touches to make your stay special.

A warm welcome on arrival. Gorgeous and quirky rooms. Great location within walking distance of train station, Anne Frank House, canal boat tours, museums and shops. We stayed in the Clockmaker Room in the first floor which had lovely views over the canal. Would definitely return.

This was easily one of the best lodging experiences in a long long time for this veteran, global, road warrior. The hotel is exactly as billed: the quintessential boutique hotel experience. We were only here one night but are already making an effort to return to Amsterdam if only to have The Craftsman be our primary destination and lodging. From the quirky, unique rooms to the phenomenal fresh breakfast (holy cow they turn the typical dutch breakfast offered at other upscale lodgings on its head), the overwhelming memory was of the very personalized service. Claudia in particular, but really the entire staff.
