The location was easy to navigate in the Medina. The staff offered to come and meet us to bring us in when a taxi dropped us outside the Medina. The staff was friendly and welcoming offering us a snack when we came in.

The property is a particular old riad. Is in the madina but you can reach it only walking and with a bag is not easy. The adress is not enough you have to be lucky to find someone who knows it. Brekfast is terrible and the girl there doesn't look to have idea what does it mean work. No cleaning in 3 days. Outside the hotel at 3 p.m. everything closed. You can find just a little shop to buy water and is not so safe if you are alone. Very nice the young boy working the night.

The cultural heritage should be valued !
Service was Zero. No cleaning of the room (we spent 4 nights). Towels not renewed. No soap in the bathroom. The plants in the courtyeard are now dry. Very poor breakfast. On the last day we had to ask for bread which the service lady had just to buy! The ambiance is great but all the house does need cleaning and maintainance! There is a lack of responsibility of the staff to keep the thing on order. With the dust of the past you cannot face the challenging future!

Authentic Medina experience. Located in a quiet area, hotel and rooms are spacious and historical. Service was excellent. Breakfast every morning was a highlight. If you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary, I would recommend.

It was an old building which was beautiful. The host genuinely wanted you to make you feel comfortable and to have your needs met. Definiley more of a Bed and Breakfast vibe than a hotel which was very quaint.

Amazing. Our host went above and beyond to make our stays comfortable. The location in the Medina can’t be beat. They have done an amazing job converting a historic building into a modern hotel.

First hostess did not speak any English. There were absolutely no room cleaning done during our 4 night stay. Wifi and data only worked in very specific parts of the room. Floors dusty and lighting dim. For the price point was left disappointed. The other host and hostess were at least very helpful.

Customer service is definitely the number one reason why I'm giving this property 5 stars out of 5, overall. I don't care that the only way to access this place is by foot, or that getting lost finding one's way to it is guaranteed, or that it may not be for folks other than adventurous solo travelers or couples with no children, or those with nostrils that can stomach the smell of sewer or cat poo. I will go back to this place again and again as long as the same staff who welcomed me on my first visit to the beautiful country of Tunisia are still there.

The location is very hard to find especially with luggages, there is no indication anywhere and the GPS doesn’t recognize where it is once in the Medina. The woman at the reception is a liar and tries to rip you off. The decor is nice but they also changed the room I had picked to another one and pretended I booked only for 1 person when I booked for 2.

2/10 Poor

This hotel was way different from its online pictures. It’s actually very small and old, our room was very ruined, no soap and they didn’t even give us a key, saying that “another guest has taken it” and that we had to wait for it to come or we could have changed our room. When we said we wanted to change the room, they hesitated and told us to wait for the key. The key never arrived and as I read online, this is a common issue. They simply don’t have the key and don’t want to call a blacksmith for a new one, or maybe the lock doesn’t work. The breakfast was not good at all. NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

6/10 Good

We stayed in the Sophie room for 4 nights. It was incredibly small. We had to take turns opening our suitcases since there was no where to do it. There was no storage- no closet, no drawers, no shelves. There was no trash can, no soap, and only one towel. We did request and receive another towel and a used bar of soap. There was no where to hang the wet towels. Between the open shower and leaking sink the bathroom floor was always wet. The bathroom was DARK and the window was broken. The breakfast was barely adequate. I am allergic to eggs and that was the best thing on offer so I was out of luck. Instant coffee made in the microwave. The staff was lovely, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. We made the best of it. I would not go back and I would not recommend. We paid $80 per night, maybe one person paying $30 per night would feel better about it. We did see into some of the other rooms and they looked much better.

Not safe, room cannot be locked
I do not understand the positive reviews for this place. Yes, it is an authentic medina house, but as a hotel it is quite inconvenient. The walls are so thin that you can hear people snore in other rooms, for example. But the big problem is that we were given a room without a key - so it was impossible to lock. The owners spun a tale of how the previous guests had left with it - but this was clearly a lie since the door was not even equipped with a lock, and looking at reviews on other sites we are not the first to be told this story... We asked if we could be transferred to a room with a functioning lock but apparently not. It does not help that the hotel itself is completely unlocked and the reception was unstaffed every time we got there, so it would have been easy to just walk in. The WiFi was also only working for some minutes at a time, and only in specific corners of the room. Other than that they were helpful - but in the "I take you to my cousin's shop" kind of way, where we felt the advice was not genuine. The location in the Medina is cozy but also inconvenient - the area is not super safe after dark, and it's difficult to coordinate pickup with tour guides etc. Overall a good option if you want a place that is an experience in itself, but if you want your hotel to be a nice & safe hub for your trip I would not recommend it.

Sicuramente seguiranno ulteriori dettagli in merito. tura
