Worst hotel experience ever
Hands down this was the worst hotel experience of my life. My husband and I arrived to this hotel (having booked and pre paid for it months in advance) The reception took our passports and started all the usual check in procedures, after about 10 mins Mankish the receptionist told us there was an issue with the AC and so we could not stay there!The story then changed to the fact that the hotel was overbooked and they had no room for us...Our options were to wait in the lobby until someone checked out early, or go to one of their sister hotels 20 mins away. There wasn't even a hint of an apology, and not even a drink of water offered. Given it was the middle of the night and we were keen to get to a bed we told them we would go to their sister hotel. We were left waiting in the lobby confused for a further 30 mins as they arranged a car to take is there (still no apology). The other hotel was a much lower standard of hotel, and in a much more undesirable location. The following morning we were left waiting another 45 mins for a car to return and finish our stay at this hotel - again no apology/acknowledgement of the inconvenience we had been caused. The hotel declined to allow even a partial refund for our stay at the sister hotel as they claimed we were "no show" guests.
