Really disappointed to see the restaurant was closed and there was no one at reception. The reason we chose this hotel was because we really enjoyed the restaurant and vibe the last time we were there, about a year ago. Other than that, the area and hotel itself is charming.

Unexpected Closure
I chose this hotel in part for the beautiful and well rated restaurant. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I learned that both the restaurant and front desk were closed for the next several months. This was not stated when I booked. Accordingly, I had to check in at another hotel down the road and let myself into both the hotel and my room. It was a bit disorienting. That said, the room itself was comfortable with a nice bathroom.

Even during the pandemic, Le Raisin is a magnificent auberge in the heart of Lavaux. The owners coordinate with a second hotel at which dinner and breakfast are served. We stayed in room 36 ("Syrah"), a massive suite in what we imagined was the restored attic of the old building.

Great stay in Lavaux
Great place to stay with cozy interior. Perfect Location close to the lake. My room was a little noisy from the street in the morning. Very nice breakfast in the lakeside restaurant.

Very nice hotel in the middle of Cully. Ideal for doing a trip through the wine yards walking from town to town. Awesome restaurant and definitely will stay there again.

The Auberge du Raisin is excellent,
I highly recommend The Auberge du Raisin. We stayed 3 nights and it was the Favorite hotel on our month long trip. The small historic hotel is beautiful, the room large and beautifully furnished, the dining room was charming and the food exquisite. It’s a block from the lake and a lovely walking path. You are just below The Lavaux vineyards and a few miles from the delightful town of Vevey.

Traditional hotel in a nice village on the lake
Stayed here for one night in September. The room was huge and fantastic but we did have two issues which prevent me from giving the hotel 5 stars. Firstly our room had 6 large windows (very nice!) but the curtains were hung in such a way that it was impossible to close them. This meant on one side of the building people could see directly into our room and on the other side of the building the sun was going to wake us up at 6am. We rehung one of the curtains to make it close and thought we should speak to the hotel staff before we rehung all of them. The hotel staff came to the room and agreed that the best way for us to close them was to rehang the curtains. So we did! We stood on a chair and rehung all 12 curtains. I am surprised other guests did not raise this issue before. The second issue was that the 'king size' bed was actually two single beds pushed together. This is not unusual in Switzerland but each bed had separate sheets and duvets and they pushed apart easily in the night. In my opinion this should be advertised as a twin room. Apart from these two issues this is a lovely hotel next to the lake with a nice restaurant and great service. If you would like to swim in the lake there is a dedicated area for this 5 mins walk (west) from the hotel.
