2/10 Poor

Worst treatment and worst room I’ve ever had!!
The standard king room smelled of smoke, the bed sheet and floor err stained and very out dated circa the mid 70’s, and the room had no phone or elevator for disabled guests. My partner and I were there looking at new homes for a place to live so the second day we extended our plans and given a hard time for not coming down to inform them of our plans at 11 but we were in the furthest possible room without a phone and both have physical issues that prove to be hard to walk such distances! The third day we again slept past our check out and tried to extend our stay but didn’t know there was a problem with our bank and while we were getting it resolved we were again startled by hard knocking at our door and this time by the sheriff who said that the owner wanted us gone or being charged with trespassing. We left and then we were told that one of us looked like he was on drugs the night before which was anxiety medication and had our prescription bottles with us! We were trying to get away from a drug area but ultimately being gay was the reason we were kicked out by the sheriff! I left an important medication in the refrigerator and they tried to say that they found a drug pipe which was not ours and they threw away the medicine bottle that was clearly prescribed with the label on it! Do not stay here if you don’t want to fall into a time warp with a town of bigotry and hatred! Ridiculous that no matter how nice you are to others the hate for being different is still alive!

Room appeared clean however it had a very strong musty smell. There were no tissues in the bathroom. The TV remote was repaired so many times it was difficult to use. The air conditioning unit had something black along the top that could have been mold, not sure. Breakfast, what a joke. Not only was there little to eat but the area was filthy. One example is the external pump coffee pot was full of coffee stains at 0800. Many bathroom tiles were broken.Staff was pleasant!

Full two stars as rated, older building needs refresh but room was clean. No elevator for second floor, a bit of a hike for higher numbered rooms.

Room was clean, good water pressure and didn't hear the highway noise. Hallway and the room smelled like wet dogs. Carpet odor remover only helped a little. The bathroom door has to remain close due to being in the way of the door for the room. Had a strong sewer smell had to make sure the shower drain was completely closed after showering to reduce the smell.

There was no refrigerator as advertised. No coffee maker in the rooms and the coffee in the”continental breakfast” was unrecognizable as coffee. Room advertised as “smoking” only to find out, it wasn’t.

If your out of places to stay
We found bugs in the hotel room, the “breakfast” was little Debbie desserts, orange juice and cereal. The sheets were not the cleanest and honestly if it wasn’t for how tired I was after driving all day I wouldn’t of stayed

They had a bike wash, we greatly appreciated having clean bikes for our next days ride. Plus, they had towels for us to dry off the bikes. Only place along the trail that offered this.

8/10 Very Good

Was biking through on the trail so the hotel with a comfy bed and a shower was a welcome stop. They did allow us to keep our bikes with us in the room which I appreciated. The breakfast was pretty non-existent ( had oatmeal, cereal and 1 type of granola bar, that was it). It was quiet though. It was pretty clean. Bathroom had some peeling paint, but it appeared they did attempt to make improvements.
