Natural Hot Springs Dormy Inn is always our #1 choice when we visit Morioka. It’s in a very convenient location to visit many museums and points of attraction in downtown Morioka. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and very understanding with my limited Japanese. They are also very responsive to messages on apps or emails. The hot springs are very nice and always clean. I like how there are 3 different temperatures baths and some are open air but your privacy is maintained. The hotel offers a lot of little perks like a welcome beverage and a late night snack as well as welcome desserts in room.

The big selling point of this hotel is the onsen. They bring in real onsen water from the nearby Hachimantai area to use in their public baths, giving a good onsen experience right in the heart of Morioka. Unfortunately, I found the bed and pillow to be much too firm, so it was a bit hard to get comfortable.

Absolutely perfect week-long stay at this Dormy. The onsen was wonderful, the room was spacious, the facilities and parking garage were terrific. Also really happy we chose to stay on this side of the city instead of the more built-up areas around the train station. 出張で２泊利用。冷麺も選べる朝食バイキングを楽しめる。盛岡駅からは徒歩10分だが、飲食店街に近く、夕食の選択には困らない。シャワーのみで浴槽の無い客室だったが、サウナを備えた大浴場が充実しており快適だった。清掃も行き届いており、観光でも利用したい宿。
