Bad start, great finish.
Check in was at 4PM. Took 40 minutes in line to get to the check in desk. Hotel is old and shows its age but is well kept. It is clean and staff is great. The bar/restaurant is nice with tasty food and pricing is what you would expect at a hotel restaurant. The outdoor area was great for sitting out under the stars talking with friends. I would stay here again.

Updates needed
We loved the hotel but it definitely needs updating. As we were leaving the bellman told us that they were doing an extensive update soon. The only issue otherwise was that it was way too cold in the lobby area. This is a huge area where you can eat, visit, read, etc. but too cold to do any of that comfortably. The staff was wonderful!!!
