It was an pleasant experience.. we actually extended our stay for another week..checking in / restay with Tammy ( clerk) was exemptional... The only hiccup that deterred me from extending my stay at the Lake Tara II, was the oriental rug in the living room . It was very dirty and stained tremendously. There was a mini iron, and a whole in the master bedroom from a previous leakage...However The Tara Garden with cottage on the other hand was better... besides not having a iron at all and when I called to request one we'd never received it .🙃
Awesome lake front view. Very quite and remote. Very clean
The unit is absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t imagine a better place to stay. Right on the lake, clean etc. The beds were literally hard as the floor. My arm and leg would fall asleep from laying on my side. It was unbearable. The shower heads were impossible to shower with. We literally couldn’t barely get soap off our bodies. Otherwise it was beautiful.
We stayed in the Tara Villas with the lake view. It was an excellent view with big windows all along the back to see the lake. The big screened in porch was outstanding. Every room in the villa was great. It was quiet, felt very safe, and had many things to do on site. No boat/jet ski rentals on the lake. Wifi was very poor.
I loved my accommodations. I love being able to walk out & enjoy the lake or the pool. A relaxing place just to get away from the real world. I can't wait to go back!!!
As usual our stay was great. We have been staying here off and on for the last 4years and will keep coming back as long as its available for us to stay. Of course it could use some updating but its not the worse considering that its a peaceful place to stay. The lakes are beautiful and everyone is very pleasant.
It was clean; however, we did see a huge roach bug in one of the bedrooms. The unit could definitely benefit from being renovated.
It was a great place to stay
Appearances, cleanness, amenities were all excellent. Only one down fall was the hot water was not enough... I did not have enough water for a full tub, and i had to take cold bath... Also, I stayed for 2 nights, but there was no house keeper came in at all.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I did have difficulty finding the resort at night as I drove in from the airport at 11:30pm. In California we use STREET LIGHTS for illumination of roads and highways. After finding the guard gate, 1:30am, I was given directions and two magnetic entry keys. Again the lack of STREET LIGHTS... I found the room. BOTH keys did not work to open the door. I called, they dispatched security and within 10 minutes a sweet woman was there to help. Here is where I add, IT WAS RAINING, IT WAS POURING. The wonderful lady offered to help as I was severely whacked out from motion sickness and flying from west coast. I must have looked pitiful. Next day’s weather was beautiful. I had lunch at the golf club and it was ok food, I had a quesadilla. Service was exceptional. The lady even gave me a go box of crackers. On my second day I visited the marina bar for lunch and returned for after dinner drinks, after 8pm. I liked it so much I would live there just for the local marina bar. The room was actually 2 rooms and a screened porch. Quite large. The lake is BEAUTIFUL. My responsibilities (funeral) kept me from enjoying kayaking, boating, fishing and etc but it looks beautiful.
