The hotel was clean, however, when we arrived there was a weird smell in the lobby. It did go away once we went to our room. We chose this hotel because we are in town for literally 24 hours for a wedding and then turning around and heading right back to Virginia.
For the price and location, it was okay for that short a stay. Normally, I would never use a Choice Hotel but...it was cost effective for the time, and it served its purpose.
There was a drawer in the room that would not stay shut. My son and I left to see some of downtown Raleigh and came back to the maintenance person in our room. It was a little creepy but...we remembered to lock the door and keep it locked. I am also licensed to carry so, that was my extra safeguard.
I have to say the breakfast was awesome. Fresh waffles, eggs and bacon and a good variety of cereals and toasts. There was coffee and some pretty good juice. The Wi-Fi was good, and my son was able to work remotely while at breakfast.
Overall, it was a good stay for the price! It definitely served its purpose.
