The stay was really nice and they are available for late check-in which is something to consider when traveling in Europe. The room was clean and has good air conditioning. The view from the room is not bad, depending on where your room is. I booked twice and got two different views - street side and back neighborhood side - both of which were decent. The restaurant downstairs has a good food selection for dinner. There is a nice grocery across the hotel for any quick snacks craving. Overall, locationwise it is a very good place to stay in Karlsruhe.

There was no fridge in the room, personnel it had broken and was nit yet replaced. Bathroom was quite worn, but I understood som renovations were underway. Otherwise nice and clean, friendly personnel, good breakfast and all at a reasonable pricelevel.

Not recommended for a work trip
Very basic, but clean. Not so close to the city centre as advertised. A noisy tram just in front of the hotel's windows. The restaurant was not open, and considering the poor offer to eat out nearby the hotel, it created an issue after a day spent working to having to figure out where to go to have dinner in the evening, and had to call a taxi each time.

So we needed a kettle to boil water to make some coffee / tea in the room. It was not possible to get one. The only option: update to a better room. Alternative get some water from the kitchen, which was neither warm enough nor "clean" enough, because the flask they gave us still have some residual flavor. I think it is the first time I cannot get a kettle or a good enough alternative. In one "cheaper" hotel they had a kettle in the common area, where I could boil my own water. At another (a pension) they gave me the kettle from their office so that I could make me some tea late at night when returning from my event. In most hotels at this price they just have one available and do not try to make you oay un upgrade to get one. I must say though that the Mexican colleague at the reception tried to help us, but their supervisors didn't want to help us. Worst service. Never going back!

Excellent location; good access to public transport to almost all parts of the city. Friendly staff, ready to assist you 24 /7. The room they allocated to me, the carpet wS completely wet and smells humidity. I went to reception and they changed the room but with to single beds and it was uncomfortable for us to sleep as a couple. I should have been advised the hotel iis been refurbished
