South Pointe Park, or simply South Pointe, offers a pleasant retreat from the hustle and bustle of South Beach. Situated at the southern tip of Miami Beach, the 17-acre green space is a popular destination to unwind and take in the views of the ocean, downtown, and the Port of Miami, or have a picnic, exercise, or just bask in the sun.
Along with plenty of grassy areas, shady palm trees, walking trails, and direct access to the beach, the park also features family-friendly amenities, including a mini water playground and a jungle gym, as well as an off-leash bark park.

South Pointe Park highlights
A prominent feature of South Pointe Park is its pier. The elevated structure has viewing stations to watch the surfers and kayakers. Fishing enthusiasts also gather here to try their luck, and they will find places to clean their fish and bins to recycle their fishing lines. There is also a promenade, which is excellent for walking and jogging.
Elsewhere in the park, the Splash Pad offers kids fun in the sun with cool water features for them to run through and enjoy. Meanwhile, grownups gravitate to the grassy areas and hammock zones.
Good to know when visiting South Pointe Park
South Pointe Park also offers two places to dine. There is a more casual cafe where you can find ice cream, refreshing beverages, smoothies, and other snacks to take with you. For those that prefer a heartier dining experience, Smith & Wollensky offers oceanfront views to enjoy surf and turf dishes.
Unlike other parts of South Beach, such as Ocean Drive, the park offers a more tranquil atmosphere and is a popular place from sunrise to sunset with its variety of things to do for all ages, from fishing to finding a quiet place to sit under a palm tree.
