Nightlife in San Francisco comes as a varied mix. Indeed, each of the city’s neighborhoods has a unique character. There's a variety of ways to enjoy its cool offerings, well after the sun goes down over the Golden Gate. For one, Union Square is among your best bets for an evening with fun and drinks. Bars around the plaza serve creative cocktails crafted by skilled mixologists. Eventually, you’ll discover a favorite among their signature offerings.

Roam around the Mission, south of Union Square. Here you’ll find a broad choice of modest dive bars. Among them are vintage hangouts with cheap beers on tap. Then there are others with pool tables and darts alongside a jukebox playing evergreen tunes. To get your groove on, hop over north to South of Market. This is where you'll find nightclubs and dance clubs. There are also glitzy lounges serving South American cocktails. Most line Folsom Street and down to South Beach. You’ll also find venues famous for their resident DJs and regular live bands. Coupled with entertainment spots featuring sophisticated sound and lighting systems, you're bound to have a night to remember.

You can also enjoy a laidback evening out, set against San Francisco’s cultural highlights. To start with, there’s North Beach flanking Chinatown and the Financial District. Notably, North Beach is rich with Italian heritage. Little Italy, in particular, is a place to go for bar-hopping. You’ll find a good variety here, nevertheless. There’s Green Street and Grant Avenue in particular, with their exciting venues. These range from Irish bars and sports bars to saloons and Italian bistros serving craft beer.
