Highlights of Four Queens

The Four Queens Hotel and Casino is one of the highlights of the Downtown Las Vegas neighborhood. It overlooks the iconic Fremont Street Experience, a 5-block stretch under a canopy lit by over 12 million colored LED lights and featuring gaming, shopping, dining, nightlife, and a 12-story zip line. The hotel itself features a cocktail lounge, a microbrewery and pub, and a rooftop swimming pool with a sundeck where you can grab a drink, catch some rays, splash, and cool off.

Several eclectic restaurants can be found on site including the romantic, brick-walled Hugo's Cellar and Magnolia's, which serves affordable, homestyle comfort food. The casino features 27,269 square feet of gaming space, with the Queen's Machine being the signature attraction. This gigantic slot machine stands 10 feet tall and 9 feet wide and has a $50,000 jackpot. It can take up to 6 players at once.

History of Four Queens

The Four Queens opened in 1966 and is named after the 4 daughters of the builder. The facility originally featured a 20,000-square-foot casino and just 120 rooms, with an 18-story hotel added later. In 1976, it expanded to 33,000 square feet with a second 18-story hotel and underwent a renovation for warmer decor.

Today the casino covers the whole block surrounded by Fremont Street, Carson Avenue, 3rd Street, and Casino Center. It played a major role in the early 21st-century revitalization of downtown and in the creation of the Fremont Street Experience. The slot machines were upgraded in 2003 when a new owner took over, and it became the first casino to offer the Blackjack Switch game. A recent $20 million renovation took place in which all 690 rooms were overhauled, a new restaurant and brewpub were added, and the Canyon Club nightclub opened.
