I am writing this review to share my incredibly disappointing experience with The Box Hotel, which I would not recommend to anyone.
The photos on their booking site are completely deceptive and do not accurately reflect the actual condition of the property. I had booked this hotel for my security and driver while visiting the country, paying in full for one room and planning to pay for the other upon arrival. However, upon arrival, I was told they had no record of either reservation. I was forced to wait for hours while they tried to resolve the issue, which they never informed me why they couldnt find the reservation. I attempted to pay for the second room via electronic payment but due to their terrible wifi connection it did not go through. They insisted I send the payment to a Bank of America Zelle account, which I did on my second attempt. After leaving the premises, my original payment finally went through, leaving me double charged. When I contacted the hotel for a refund, they initially agreed to reimburse me but then refused to follow through. The owner of the establishment was manipulative and played unnecessary games, making the process incredibly frustrating. To make matters worse, the hotel’s facilities were abysmal. The toilets overflowed into the rooms, and there was an entire day without running water. This level of negligence is unacceptable for any guest. Dealing with this establishment was an absolute nightmare, & I have yet to receive a refund overpaying
