2/10 Poor

Man, this hotel was the most run-down hotel I've ever stayed at in Japan or the states. The lobby had buckets on the floor, I thought they were cleaning but no there were holes in the ceiling that were leaking. My floor had the carpet ripped up and duct tape had been laid down to fill in the damaged areas. The bed was so hard that it might as well have been concrete, and the pillow (singular) was filled with beans from a bean bag chair. I asked for two more pillows and the staff quickly retrieved them but they were way softer than the normal pillow and actually filled with down. The staff were the only highlight of the hotel, they were extremely nice and accommodating. The area around the hotel is great, it's downtown Hachinohe with plenty of stuff to do. But it surprises me that with so many good hotels surrounding this area, that this one has somehow continued on.

Hallway carpet worn & torn. Room’s carpet is stained. Bashed room wall. Crack inside fridge. 3 pm checkin. Friendly staff. Hotel needed refurbishing at least 10 years ago.

Clean hotel & polite hotel staff
I rate comfort a little less because the room space is really very tight. It's good only for 1 traveler with only 1 small suitcase like a carry-on. In our 2 nights stay, my hubby barely slept due to the hard bed and pillow which feels like a bean bag. The view outside from our window includes a cemetery. On our first night, we're able to park on site. But on the second night, we parked off site as the on site parking was already full. Front desk directed us to off site parking about 3-4 mins walk. The hotel's parking can only accomodate about 10 cars. Breakfast is free but we only tried once. The food were all Japanese and not to our liking. We only recognized the rice, bread, juice & coffee :-) But cannot complain for the rate of less than $50/night. What I like most in this hotel is it's cleanliness & staff. The room is clean, the bed sheets and towels are clean tho we used our own towels and front desk people (1 young lady and mostly men, both young & old ) were all nice despite our language difficulty. Although, hubby do not want to stay here again, I would still recommend this hotel because of it's cleanliness & polite hotel staff and of course, it's affordable price.

Good for a stay
Stayed here recently for 2 nights. The hotel is in convenient location. It's near to many eateries, convenient stores and bus stops. Checking in and out were fast. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel offers free parking. However, the room condition is not too good and the room size is the smallest of the 5 hotels I stayed in Japan this trip.

I'll book here again
I was quite happy with the hotel. It is a very typical Japanese business hotel -- totally clean, quiet. Nothing especially good or bad -- but MUCH cheaper than most other hotels in the same class. This neighborhood, by the way, is where you in Hachinohe, not near the shinkansen (bullet train) station which is way out of town. Good restaurants nearby.

Room small but clean
The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from Hon-Hachinohe Station. If taking a cab, the fare is 660 Yen. The room and washroom are quite small but very clean. A low budget hotel. We only stay for sleeping so the room size is not our concern. Recommend for single or couple who look for low budget hotel.

Downtown Hachinohe night out
Very friendly staff helped with a quick check-in. The room was very affordable and great for a night on the town. Not the most modern of rooms but for the price and location, I would happily stay again as it was clean and comfortable.
