Never going back.
I had stayed a couple of times before and it had been a good experience, especially good value per cost. However, this last Easter, we had an awful experience.
Cleaning service wasn’t provided at all, even though they had said it was going to be done only one day from our 3 night stay due to holidays, but that day we only got a change of towels and removal of rubbish, leaving us with beds undone, dirty dishes, etc. Since we arrived, there had been no dusting done, it was all full of dust.
Conditions of the furniture and curtains were terrible. They had stains and curtains were broken, so they didn’t close properly. The lift made awful noises and all in very old conditions.
One night there was a fire alarm activation, which resulted in evacuation. It was unexpected, however, there was only one guy from the hotel dealing with everything, which resulted in him not being able to help with evacuation and all the issues that came with it, ill/disabled people, emergency services, etc. No one communicated us what had happened and it just became obvious that we could go back to our rooms. There was no control at the only lift, so drunk guests were overloading the lift, being abusive towards other guests, etc.
Terrible experience, won’t go back.
I emailed them with these concerns and got a refund for $50 (around 10% of the booking) and an email half apologizing, half justifying themselves and blaming everything in us not understanding what was going on.
