Oh dear.. where to start?
On arrival (the whole hotel smelled of fish guts probably from the restaurant next door), we were first of all told that “none of our 3 people rooms have a sea view”. So instead of what we booked we looked into other peoples kitchens, bedrooms and other rooms in an apartment block.
The sea was literally just across the road but no such luck.
The woman in reception told us that we needed to give a €100 deposit. Wich made us feel very uncomfortable, as this has never happened before.
Turns out she took €300 and they have still, five days later not been returned.
We also paid for the room in advance.
After this transaction she tells us “ the hotel has no hot water, today or tomorrow”.
We were very surprised as this apparently had been an issue for some time and the hotel could have told us beforehand so we could have cancelled. We were told we could have a partial refund on check out.
In the room the fridge was unplugged and electricity did not work properly. No hand soap.
But still fish smell everywhere.
Next morning, early check out.
There is a younger man. He phones colleague and “boss” about our partial refund, wich is denied.
He then says he must “go and check our room, so nothing is stolen”!!!!
He comes back and confirm that indeed nothing is missing.
Never ever have we been made to feel so uncomfortable in an hotel.
This behaviour was in front of other guests who seemed equally uncomfortable.
This is the worst hotel in France! Hands down!
