We really enjoyed our stay from the morning yoga and the freshly made breakfast, to the wild monkeys that visited in the trees outside our room. The staff was very accommodating and took great care of us. The location was a bit away from town but just enough. We were able to enjoy the quiet and peace and grab a quick ride into downtown Ubud for shopping and dining.

Food was divine- always fresh and remarkably tasty. Great selection. Breakfast was also included which was great. Loved the smoothie bowls. It was a vegetarian restaurant. Loved the local Cuisine options at the restaurant and the soups - truly delicious. Super tranquil and beautiful grounds the flora and fauna here are great to see. Loved the frogs and birds and monkeys as the resort is set against the rainforest! The pool is beautiful to swim in. Customer service fantastic and loved how staff were there to pick us up from airport and take us to another hotel when we were done and be our personalised tour guide. All for small fee. We couldn’t have seen Bali easily without their support. Room was lovely very comfy bed and beautiful surrounds. Loved the outdoor shower and toilet etc. Near enough to Ubud town but a bit removed from the hustle of the main streets, which gives the resort a more authentic jungle villa feel. Yoga included every morning at 7am at no extra cost - very good experience and instructors were very good.

At Being Sattvaa you feel well taken care of without feeling bombarded or pressurized. The staff is discrete,elegant, subtle and efficient. If you need something, they are available but you never feel they are obtrusive. In this respect , they have reached the perfect balance. The atmosphere is heavenly, peaceful and quiet. The rooms are lovely and the design is totally integrated with its surroundings. They have yoga classes every morning which we were not able to take advantage of but plan on enjoying on our next stay. This hotel is top notch, no doubt about it.

I absolutely loved this property. It was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. I love the natural environment, the beautiful gardens and all the facilities. My villa was exquisite, with a comfortable bed, large bathroom and bath, all amenities, including a plunge pool. I also felt welcomed and very cared for by all the staff, including Subba and Renuka. They have truly created a very rare and special retreat site.

An amazing retreat and place to recharge the batteries. I spent a week here, beautiful tranquil setting overlooking jungle and rice paddies. Great accomodation and only minutes from the centre of Ubud. What made the place even more special was the staff from the moment I was met at airport till I was dropped off. Nothing was too much trouble. There attention to detail amazing. Had a birthday during my week there and have such great memories of it thanks to the efforts of all the staff who made it one to remember. Will definately go back.

The retreat is a beautiful place. All indoor/outdoor, at one with nature. The staff loves to be helpful. Soni and Mona were wonderful. Our huge outdoor bathroom was amazing. Forest setting, great villa and staff
The villas are located in an amazing forest setting with an onsite restaurant, yoga studio and swimming pool. Dealing with the staff was an easy experience from enquiring about transport to arranging our meals. Overall, we thought we got good value from our stay and the staff were super helpful when one of us came down ill. The good stuff - Beautifully kept villas (out one had an outside private bathroom) - Friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff - Nice little swimming pool - Good complimentary beginners yoga sessions three times a week - Fantastic vegan/vegetarian menu Things to think about - Location is 20mins out of town (regular complimentary shuttle but staff were flexible with time and location whilst we were there) - Cost about AU$10 to get a taxi to the Villas from the town - No TV in the room (didn't bother me at all)

Felt like a princess!
Service was wonderful here, everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food and smoothies were delicious. I really enjoyed my room that had an outdoor bathroom and the lounging by the pool after breakfast. The spa downstairs is fantastic. I really liked that it was out of the way of the main street so that there was peace and quiet. There is a shuttle that will take you into town so you can shop or go to the monkey forest- you won't need much time at either one. I also arranged someone to take me to the closer rice terraces which was neat to see. Wonderful trip, would love to go back!

Paradise
Beingsattvaa vegetarian retreat villa is a paradise on the earth, located in an awsome garden full of exotic colourful flowers. We had a beautiful comfortable villa with a perfect view. Every day in the morning or afternoon we could practice yoga with a qualified teacher. After an individually composed breakfast we had a walk around the rice fields or one of the very nice hotel drivers dropped us to Ubud only 10 min from 'our paradice'. The staff was helpful,always ready to treat us individually espacially with the meals (we have a very special diet). The last day, after checked out we especially experienced Beingsattvaa villa staff kindness. When our driver from outside didn't come to drop us to the airport they imidiatelly organized a perfect driver who dropped us comfortably and very fast to the airport. Thank you so much again!

Wonderful, peaceful, amazing place
As soon as we arrived, we didn't want to leave! Staff was super friendly, remember our names, and went out of their way to accommodate our requests (eg serve half our breakfast early and remainder mid morning, making custom food off the menu). The entire property was spotless clean - can walk around bare feet all day and still have clean soles. Beds were super comfy and we slept like babies and the daily turndown service was lovely. Truly amazing and can't say enough good things. Highly highly recommended!

Amazing resort in the forest
Staff were always polite and friendly and greeted us with a welcome drink and overview of our itinerary and hotel facilities. The rooms were amazingly clean and the outdoor bathroom on the ground floor is just incredible. Such a nice and tranquil way to take a shower (with complete privacy ofcourse). And despite it being rainy season and anywhere else swarming with insects and frogs, the rooms were still spotless unless you leave your door open! The vegetarian menu was great for breakfast but got a little bit repetitive for dinner. We always began our days too stuffed to move and had to wait to digest before we went out! Pancakes and muesli stood out to me, plus the BeingSattvaa breakfast with the porridge is also amazing. The pastas weren't that good for dinner but the Indonesian dishes were very tasty and healthy! There are lots of dinner options in the city and they provide free shuttle car service every two hours until around 6 or 7pm and then you can cab back to the resort when you're done. Only negative was that it was quite far from the main city area. It took 20 minutes by car and when we asked for pick up in the afternoon to get back to the resort, we waited one hour each time because of the traffic! Not the driver's fault but just beware and organise your time wisely. Overall, amazing place to spend a few days to unwind and relax with some amazing views and experiences and food!

Wonderful place just outside of Ubud
Very friendly and attentive staff. Tasty breakfast, they even offered breakfast way past the normal hours for when we got back from our sunrise hike up Mt Batur. Didn't eat lunch or dinner so can't comment. Regular shuttle into town (about 10mins by taxi)

Beautiful grounds with lovely staff
We enjoyed a relaxing 3 nights stay at BeingSattvaa - the hotel is a tranquil and peaceful place - a welcome thing away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre. The staff were excellent and the shuttle service was great. Morning yoga was also fun - it would have been nice for this to be more regular seen as the hotel bills itself as a retreat. There were a couple of things that could have been improved upon that we shared with the staff when leaving such as more power sockets - only 1 was accessible in the room (but two outside randomly), more lighting - getting ready for an evening out was pretty challenging and we hadn't realised that the hotel is technically alcohol free save for the odd bottle of white wine.

The hotel is a true hidden treasure, beautiful and cozy, away from the noisy streets. The staffs are so friendly. They even went to town to get some special fruits for us just because we mentioned it randomly and the hotel kitchen doesn't usually stock it. They really made us feel like home. I love this hotel and will only stay there if I go visit again.

Gem of a hotel close to Ubud with welcoming staff.
We booked to stay here for the start of our honeymoon in Bali and we were not disappointed. From the offset we found the staff friendly and extreamly helpful, the rooms to a very high standard and the location superb. You feel as if you are sleeping in the jungle, yet you have the comfort and security of your room. For light sleepers they provide ear plugs and eye mask, which might come in handy. Starting the day with complimentary Yoga, looking over the canopy as the sun rises followed by a three course breakfast, sets you up nicely for a day trip into Ubud, using the free shuttle service. We stayed four nights, but enjoyed it so much, we cancelled our planned last night in Nusa Dua to stay here one more time before returning to the UK. Aside from families with young children(aside from the pool there is little for them) or travellers looking for some night life, we can't recommend this hotel enough.
