Decent for the price, I’d stay again
The rooms were surprisingly nicer than expected for the price point. The check in guy was nice, check out lady hates her life and it shows. The snow management was negligent, specifically the stairs. My first room didn’t have ANY heat. The over night guy was quick to rectify it and got me in a new room with no fuss.

A bit rough but hard to complain for the price
Checkin was smooth and the room was clean, if a bit worn. The hvac was functional and “central” instead of a wall unit, which was nice. On the downside, the bed was fairly uncomfortable, the door latch which limits opening distance was missing half, and perhaps most problematic, the smoke detector was removed and wires left (at least with nuts on). Maybe this explains the faint residual pot smell.

Roaches!!
The front desk clerk was great. The room seemed clean, but roaches were on the walls, furniture, CEILING, and at one point one fell out of a ceiling vent that I happened to be standing under. Checking out to stay somewhere else was not an option for me, and I really hope I didn't bring home any hitchhikers!! The room was inexpensive, but that shouldn't mean I shouldn't expect a clean and pest free room. If I had the means to check out and get a different hotel, I would have, and would seriously appreciate the management considering a refund, and and investing in an exterminator!

Shower was still dirty. Paint peeling off the wall. The AC looked like it was from 1980. My neighbor had barking dogs. I’m all for saving money, but would highly recommend spending a little more to stay at one of the many surrounding hotels.

The place reeked of body oder and my room did not have an air conditioner. It's possible that the online ad did not show air conditioning. I was not able to pull the ad up to verify. I never thought about checking for air conditioning. I have never stayed at a motel that did not have a heater and air conditioner in every room. The temperature inside the room averaged about 90 degrees according to the heater's thermostat in the room. I was miserable both nights. I felt it was not safe to sleep with the window open and did not have enough money to purchase another room. I got bites all over my arms the first night. l think it was bed bugs.The second night I left the bed made up and slept sideways across the bed. I got a few more bites but it wasn't as bad as the first night. I asked the person at the front desk for an iron and hairdryer. I was then informed that my room did not include these types of items, even though they had them in abundance on the back counter. I was in Kansas City to watch my brother compete in the lineman's rodeo and had planned to attend the award banquet that evening. I did not have time to go find a hair dryer or iron elsewhere, so I made the best of a bad situation, put a smile on my face, and went to the banquet with wet hair and a wrinkled dress. I do not know if I have ever stayed at a Motel 6 before, but I do not plan on considering them as an option for the future.

HVAC wasnt working in room assigned and in fact it was running on the cool setting and pumping out hot air. The room was 86 degrees! Person checking in was very nice and offered me another room but said the last remaining ones would be similar. I took another room which did not have the unit running and it was cooler so i took it but had to sleep with the door open.
