When we arrived, we were not pleasantly surprised to find a Zoom-type kiosk (remote, and heavily accented male representative) checking us in to our room. This became a problem, when we needed assistance by what Kioskman called a "physical person". The outside temperature had been well below freezing, day and night, for several consecutive days, the parking lot and sidewalks were under a 4" blanket of snow, (an obvious safety hazard) and the room temperature was set at 62 degrees f., which neither my wife nor I could see a way to adjust. We had arrived about 45 minutes after the 3:00 o'clock check in time, it was already dark and cold, and we needed a warm room in which to shower, change our clothes, and drive to the restaurant, where we had reserved a table. When I called the front desk, to have the temperature remotely adjusted, Kioskman said he was not authorized to do anything but contact the local manager for assistance. We hung up, after nearly a half hour, he called back to say a "physical person" would arrive about eight o'clock to provide assistance. Needless to say, we went to our dinner appointment
dirty, disheveled, and disgruntled.
