The hotel itself is wonderful, staff is friendly and inviting. The rooms are posh and comfortable, fantastic shower too. However being right on canal st, it’s really loud and bright in the rooms at night. Had some freestyle rapper below my room until like midnight and I had a super early flight to catch. Not the hotels fault but just something to be aware of, I mean I get it, it’s New Orleans. Also when I came down in the morning the security guard was asleep. So yeah that’s unacceptable, earlier when I came in they were talking politics on speaker on their phone, didn’t even acknowledge that I walked in. That being said, it wouldn’t completely discourage me from staying again; if I wasn’t there for business it would definitely be a great spot to stay, but being that I go to Louisiana several times per year for work, I might stay somewhere else a little more quiet.
