The Northwinds Hotel in Canmore is fantastic. The rooms are large, have incredible mountain views, very well appointed, clean and comfortable. AC is quiet and works well. Front desk staff is delightful and very accommodating. The hotel is well situated, easy to get to hikes or downtown. You don't want to leave this place! 5 stars plus.

This small community of Canmore is beautiful with Banff and Lake Louise very accessable by local bus. Many restaurants, shops grocery stores within walking distance. Good happy hour's close by.

It looks like a run down hotel from the outside, but it looks better inside. Comfortable beds, clean. Expensive for its price during summer. They don’t offer breakfast. About 10 min walk to the stores and restaurants. Doors aren’t locked at night or doesn’t require a card to enter the hotel. Anyone can just enter the hotel. Staff said it’s pretty safe place and they never encountered any incidents so far.
