We'vve stayed in Baymonts before that were nice hotels. This stay was the worst we've had. When we checked in, the room they sent us to smelled like weed. So, we requested another room. They send us to a room that was already occupied. So, they sent us to another room. That room also smelled like weed, so we just got air freshener and let it air out and dealt with it. The sofa was stained. The carpet felt dirty to walk on without shoes. I did check for bedbugs, and I did not discover any. The sheets were wrinkled, but we couldn't tell if it was because they had been left in dryer or just not changed. The second evening after being out for the day, our room card was deactivated. We had to go to the desk and straighten that out. When we checked out on Sunday, as we were passing a room that was being cleaned, we smelled weed again. We're not being petty. This is listed as a non-smoking hotel, but apparently it isn't enforced. Honestly, if we had not already paid and didn't want the hassle of fighting for a refund, we would not have stayed. The next time we make the trip to this area, we will be staying in a different hotel for sure.
