Our check-in was smooth, as I called in advance to ensure that our room would be available and pet-friendly. Upon arrival, we called the front desk to ask about a roll-away bed and they didn't have any “on the property”. I asked if we could get extra blankets, and the clerk told me that she would have to contact the owners and get the 'ok' to hand out anything "extra" (like we were going to take it with us when we left!). The tub had mold around the grout. There were also roaches in the bathroom, and one managed to get into my bag! It died during the travel home, thank goodness! The floors were so filthy, that the bottoms of my socks were black within the first 30 minutes of entering our room! The air conditioner/fan/heater was somehow preset at 73, so it was either freeze or do without any circulating air. They advertise as being 'pet friendly', but I guess that means a pet that doesn't require an outdoor area to be walked, because there wasn't! The worst part was that I accidentally left a small stuffed animal there that was very sentimental. I called within 24-hours of checking out and was told by the owner/manager that anything left in the room would have been tossed as trash! Who does that??? It wasn't like food that was left in the mini-fridge, it was a personal belonging. They didn't even attempt to contact me to see if it was mine. Now, it's gone forever. Our room looked NOTHING like the photos. Very misleading. I still feel dirty.
