Studio 6 Barstow, CA

Typical Motel/Studio 6. However, NO dogs allowed in the studio 6 rooms. This was a surprise to me when I arrived. Luckily they had a “motel 6” room available. Apparently manager changed the rule 6 months ago regarding pets in the “studio” rooms. The motel rooms do have a fridge and microwave just no kitchenette.

I booked and PAID for this hotel. When I arrived to check in, i was told that i needed to put a $150 deposit on my card. I said no problem. Then she said i needed to pay for the room. I told her it was already paid tbrough hotels.com and showed her my confirmation. She said there was nothing she could do. She can't override the system. I asked her to call Hotels.com and she said i had to do it. I called and was told they would contact the property to sort it out. After being on hold for over 10 mins, the agent from hotels.com informed me that they were unable to get through to the hotel. He asked if i could give my phone to the employee at Studio 6 so we could sort this out. I asked her to speak with him on my phone, she refused and said they needed to call her. Every time they tried, she was unable to answer the call. Apparently their phones weren't working. This lady did absolutely nothing to try and resolve the issue. In the over 30 mins that i was there 2 other people had similar issues with this property and this lady did nothing to help us! I travel a lot and was completely shocked by her indifference to customer service. On a positive note the agent from hotels.com went above and beyond to help me find an alternative hotel at a higher cost, which was paid by hotels.com. They rebooked me at the Ramada down the street. The customer service i received there was 1,000 times better than the Studio 6. Management should investigate! You lost business.

I made a one night stop to this motel and it was pretty cheap and pleasant. Front desk was super nice. Room was clean and had all the necessities.

Remodeled in the new austere Motel 6 style. Minimal, basic furnishings with hard surfaces. No carpet. This may not sound great but in the age of Covid 19 it is easy to clean these surfaces. For the price, this motel delivers.

I’ve been here a couple times but this this time there was no hot water working and they didn’t wanna change us rooms was not happy about that

Rude staff. Would not give TP had to buy our own.
