Easy going accommodation,every thing you would like on a short break.(or even a longer one) All staff very helpful. Great breakfast ,no foodie top up needed on the way home. Thanks to you both & staff. Viv & Michael

Great size family room with comfy beds and a lovely bathroom. Staff friendly and lovely breakfast. Great location for peasholm park and North Bay beach. Not fond of the decor in the main bedroom, especially the ceiling lights, which were also broken (decor in the kids bedroom and bathroom was lovely).

Comfy room and bed. Good hot shower. Nice breakfast. Friendly host. Easy walking distance to all the attractions in Scarborough. Easy parking. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent facilities, great location. We were welcomed on arrival by possibly the friendliest lady I have ever met and we were well looked after throughout. Breakfast had a variety of choices and was always delicious for both myself and my daughter (10). I was thrilled with the level of service and the rooms were excellent size and offered fantastic value for money.

The thermostat on the shower was broken. The carpet in the bedroom was very dirty, as though it had not been vacced for over a month. The manager was unfriendly, verging on rude. On one morning the breakfast was dried up despite the small timeframe we were given to attend breakfast.

The Russel is in a prime location for open air theatre, Peashme Park and Scarborough North Bay. There is parking off road which is an advantage. Our room was very comfortable clean and large. We had a double and a single bed. Loads of storage space to hang clothes etc. The only problem was the shower. It was impossible to use. One moment it was scalding hot the next freezing cold. I think it was probably a problem with water pressure. The breakfasts were nice. The owners and the waiting on staff were all lovely. I would definitely visit again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Russell. Glenn and Lynn could not have been more accommodating hosts. I mentioned I was looking for a restaurant serving a dinner Caesar Salad in Scarborough and Glenn was on the phone to a friend who's a top chef in town in a minute. Found us the place. The hotel is charming and beautifully situation across form a gorgeous city park. Highest recommendation.
