A dump
The dump This place claims it’s 3 star which is why I stayed here. I was shocked. The state of cleanliness was very unhygienic. The beds did not have a sheet but a blanket that was not washed between customers. Luckily I had my own pillow and blanket which I used. The bathroom toilet was probably never washed from the inside. I tried to wash the stuck fecal matter but it wouldn’t wash out. Plugs were held in place with carton tape and the shower had a chain cut out in the ceiling to hold it in place. The water wash spout was leaking water. The bed was filthy and the bedcover was thin and worn out. What a dump. In addition it was an area that had people and dogs screaming all night. The only plus to this place was the breakfast and view of the pyramids from the terrace. This place is a 1 star at most. You get what you pay for.

There was so much I loved about this property. The location being so close to the pyramids in Giza was great. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The roof top terrace was great. It gave you an amazing view of the pyramids including the sound and light show at night. But what made this property truly special were the wonderful managment and staff. Mahmoud and Ozo were both so very friendly, helpful and happy to assist with any queries. Towards the end of my stay Ozo cooked the most amazing dinner for everyone. Thank you to you both for making my stay so memorable. Also a huge thank you to Ahmad and Alam for making me feel so very welcome. Thank you Alam for making me constant cups of tea and for the laughs. Thanks to Ahmad for inviting me to your home, intoducing me to your beautiful family and giving me the experience of sharing an Egyptian meal. Thanks also to Whiskey for the laughs! (Ahmad has never run so fast in his life, lol). Last but certainly not least a huge thank you to Eslam and Alaa. I can not express in words how grateful I am for everyting you both did for me. Eslam was so helpful and friendly. I had a great time in Alexandria. An experience I will never forget. Alaa, my driver was very special. The best driver in Cairo! We always had an amazing time together. I had so much fun and laughter. Shokran! Loved the music. Thanks to everyone for making my stay so enjoyable and memorable. My home away from home. Love you all...until next time 😊 Shokran.

This hotel is in walking distance from the Great Pyramids of Giza, it also served a very delicious athentic Breakfast. Unfortunately we where swindled by accepting a tour through the hotel. At one point during the "tour" the driver had us sit in his car while he played video games. The guide at the pyramids stopped us before finishing and asked us for a tip and when we gave him a tip he said it wasn't sufficient and then asked for more. The guide worked with the hotel tour. I had ordered an Uber to pick me up and the the guy at the front desk forced the Uber driver to leave. I was charged for the Uber and then taken by the front desk to the pyramids and charged.

They were very helpful in the beginning, the view is beautiful. However, after they kept trying to sell us tour packages and we rejected, they did not assist or provide the breakfast that should've been given. There was a situation with a taxi cab driver that we needed assistance and no one was available to help and no one was there to check out.

Overall a great location and service at this hotel. I was first concerned about staying at this location since some reviewers complained it was not clean and unprofessional but I was proven wrong! The air conditioning in the room was new and the bedding/bathroom was clean. This is an awesome place for solo travelers too, at least for me (I am a 23 year old female) I felt safe the whole time and the hotel staff were so hospitable and generous! They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and provided private tours at the hotel with a good rate. Also have amazing accommodations for vegans/vegetarians, just ask them! Lastly, this is a developing country, do not expect paved roads and pristine streets. You are in the middle of the desert of a 3rd world country after all so take in all in!

Great breakfast, very noisy at night
The hotel was clean & comfortable. Staff were friendly & helpful, apart from the breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, but took 30 minutes to arrive on the first morning, and 50 minutes to arrive on the second morning - the tea took 90 minutes to arrive! It was in a great location to see the sphinx and the pyramids, but it also meant there were plenty of camels and horses clattering in the street at all hours of the night.

The view from the rooftop is stunning, and the staff will help in anyway. If you arrange to get picked up from the airport, double confirm with the hotel. I could not find my driver for over an hour and ended up taking a random taxi at 1:00AM. This was not a good start to my trip. You might need to ask for your room to be cleaned and for replacement shampoos and soap. I didn't bother asking and never had my room cleaned or had shampoo or soap replaced. This didn't bother me because I don't like people in my room. I would suggest staying at the Makadi Hotel. The view is stunning and the staff really go out of the way to help when asked.

The hotel was an absolute disaster! Yes it might be close to the pyramids, however the hotel had no idea of cleanness our beds had no dunner covers, the split system in the room wasn’t working, cold draft was coming in from the unsealed windows, the stairs going to the rooms had no windows so cold breeze was unbearable. Highly don’t recommend this hotel!

Amazing view, Great Service
The staff went above and beyond from helping set us up with a private tour guide, recommending local attractions, and providing great local (and also less exotic) food options! Most of the staff spoke English well enough to communicate easily. But the absolute best feature of the hotel is a full view of the Giza pyramids from the rooftop!

Treated us like family
Mahmud, the owner took great care of us since the moment we arrived. Arranging a horse carriage to the Pyramids, a camel ride in the desert, a personal driver who accompanied us to the churches, museum, market and river cruise. He personally walked us to the restaurant and drove us to the airport. Perfectly located 5 min walk from the Pyramids. Great view of the Pyramids from the rooftop patio. We had a wonderful time. The street can be a little noisy so you may want to pack your earplugs. We had a wonderful time.
