Modern and very clean, this capsule hotel was a great place to stay. It’s in a quieter more residential area of Tokyo, which meant it was a bit harder to get around, but it’s still Tokyo, so that means it was a 10 min walk to the subway, not a 3 min walk. They have a locked compartment in each capsule that allows you to keep what you need there throughout the day, which I haven’t seen in other capsule hotels. Their check-in and our hours are a bit difficult, but if you ring the bell they’ll let you drop your back between 10am and 5pm. Light sleepers, bring earplugs!
I really enjoyed the calm design and peacefulness of Mayu Tokyo Woman! They provide fresh towels, PJ's, slippers, and toothbrush each day. The beds come with a standard Japanese outlet that will work on USA devices. You also get a locker that's large enough for a suitcase. I was a little worried about the small sleeping area, but the comfy white blanket and light design left me with a good night's rest. The bathrooms are equipped with blow dryers, shampoo/conditioner, soap, q tips, and tissues. In the morning the staff sets out curling irons and individual mirrors in the common area. The common area is very nice to sit and relax with a cup of tea. Downsides: - The 10AM - 5PM cleaning times. During this time you must leave the premises. On one of the days of my stay, I fell ill. And not being able to rest in bed was very inconvenient. - The locker area can get very cramped. In the morning I tried to wake up early so I could get to my luggage and get my stuff out for the day. If someone with a locker next to—or above you—is already at their locker, it's impossible to get to yours out until they finish. Fortunately, waking up early really helped avoid this. One thing to consider before booking, it's a very quiet and peaceful place. This isn't a party hotel. :) I found many older people stayed here. I really enjoyed the calmness and respect everyone had. The staff was great!
Awesome place and only ladies loved it :) They give you masks if you keep environment friendly such a great idea :) Lovely staff thank you for all the help and great hospitality
within walking distance from hatchobori station, a great and clean place for spending a night for solo female travelers, especially for one that is constantly on the road. What I particularly liked about the place is that there’s a small space within your capsule to keep your valuable in when locked, and also acts as a bedside table of sorts when opened Locking pods are forbidden by law, so if you are the type that can’t sleep with the slightest noises/light nearby, best consider sleep masks and earplugs, or even alternative accomodation
I spent only one night here, when I extended my stay in Tokyo and the hotel I’d been staying at was full. I wish I had switched over earlier! My experience was excellent, comfortable, and a fraction of the cost of a regular hotel. Note: the can not store luggage for you, but Tokyo station has ample room.
