Only bad thing to say is they refused to give us dry pool towels when ours where soaked. We tried turning in wet towels for the dry ones...it was no per "policy". Also I know there was not a shortage of towels because me and my family where the only ones at the pool the whole day.

Hopelessly incompetent staff will ruin your stay
I have stayed in many hotels in the United States and around the world. I have never encountered reception staff as hopelessly incompetent as the staff at this hotel. It's as if management choose people whose temperament, interests, and intellectual capacities are totally unsuited for the job, and then deliberately trained them to be as terrible as possible. If you stay here, you risk big headaches with reception and you risk being ripped off (charged twice for the same night's stay). Stay anywhere but here.

A few hours to overnight, otherwise….
The front desk was cordial. However, they didn’t go over the hotel facilities. When I got to the room, it was a large square with the bathroom in an alcove. There was no remote for the tv, the couch I didn’t go near, it was beat up and stained. The coffee table was beat up, some of the utensils were rusted. The mattress did appear clean, and thankfully no bedbugs. I hate to think what I would’ve seen with an IR light. So, if you’re just staying overnight or a bank robber looking to ditch for a few hours, it’s ok. I certainly wouldn’t stay for any length of time

Booked 6 weeks ahead through Expedia. Day before received a confirmation email. Day of our reservation, left at midnight and drove 14 hours from Florida on our trip up north with my wife and two dogs. Arrived at 2 pm, an hour before check in. Went to register only to find our stay was cancelled as the hotel overbooked and reportedly the manager has already left for the day, on a Friday no less, so no one to complain to. Never again. Didn't know that overbooking hotel rooms was a thing. Stay there at your own risk.

Very clean. Nice, comfortable bedding. Property is nice, clean, and well-maintained. This is the only hotel I use when I visit Rocky mount, it is always consistent.
