Things I did not like in Cuba : poor public wifi and sky high rate of taxi/bicycle taxi. So I searched 'free wifi' in Havana, and this hostel was the one with free wifi, and walkable distance from Havana vieja.
I got an e-mail after my reservation, that I have to pay two CUC per hour for wifi. I can afford that, but shouldn't they post it at the hotel room description?
When I arrived, she told me that wifi was out of order and not available.
I asked the hostess about the bus transport to Morro castle, and she answered me that I can walk to there. Only 4 kilometer. So I tried, but I found that I can not cross the underwater tunnel without a car. Didn'y she know this or too bothered to teach me the way?
The hostess here is friendly, only when she talks about the money, like reserving a taxi to the airport, or doing my 3kg laundry with 20CUC. By the way, she will introduce you a taxi with 35-40 CUC depending on the departure time(written on the guide paper in your room). You can easily get a taxi from the street to airport with 20 CUC, so better not bother her.
No wifi, and the hostess, who is not always friendly, might give you wrong informations.
In your room, you can hear people staying upstairs voiding in the calm night.
You can get a room at the Havana vieja with similar price and better reputation, so why book here?
