Mayari Havana Apartment

Fue una estancia muy agradable. Todo perfecto, limpio, bonito y muy bien ubicado. La atención de la dueña excelente, el desayuno delicioso. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

We really really like the apartment and the host Maria . This is a two bedroom apartment so our family took the entire apartment . Maria arranged the airport transfer for us about 30 CUC and the apartment is in a very central location close to plaza vieja, plaza San francisco , plaza de armas . She gave us a phone that can be used as hot spot and when we go outside . But just bear in mind internet is not a fancy thing in Havana so even with that we didn’t always get to be able to go online . On the phone has all the restaurants she and guests saved . She and her helper came in the morning to cook breakfast for us ( we are not big eater so I would recommend communicate with her before hand so that no food goes waste )and she also arranged a walking tour guide ( David ) which was 90 CUC for the whole tour and the guide was very knowledgeable. Maria also arranged our transportation to Vinales for a day with Marcos and Marcos Is very nice . driver and his English is good . The whole day trip was 180 CUC . There r few restaurants underneath the apartment and free musics . They don’t play music after certain time so no need to worry about being disturbed when u try to get some sleep . There is also a balcony that you can sit outside and just watch ppl down below . We really like Maria , her apartment and the people she works with and we highly recommend her place to everyone but book early as she is very booked

Don't even think of staying anywhere else in Havana. Short walking distance to Old Havana and museums. Just a block away from local shopping. Right in restaurant district and 3 restaurants right downstairs. Nightlife also on these streets, but not too noisy to sleep as apt is well built to reduce noise to a dull tone. Actually nice to listen to local music in the evening from the balcony of the 2 bedrm apt. Does not play late into the night. Cleanest place I have stayed in the world! Incl major hotels. Housekeeper comes in at whatever time you want in am to prepare breakfast feast in your kitchen. Every day different treats but always local fruit, fresh juice, cof/tea, breads/jams, and most days eggs and more. Just leave dishes on table and she will clean up. Changes sheets and irons them every day. Fresh towels every day. And cleans up shower, floors, whole apt too. Owner lives in another part of town but is always accessible via the cell phone she gives you (a Note 10 I think) for questions and is there to greet you when you arrive and stops by when you are leaving as well. If you ask she can arrange for a private taxi (P is the first letter of the taxi's liscense plate). He is waiting for you even if you plane is late, carries your bags up to the 2nd floor and when leaving carries them back down. $30 US or $30 CUC accepted (which is the same as USD 1:1 if you wait till you arrive at apt to exchange money. Do not need to exchange any money at all in advance.

The location was ideal and the apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. Very well-equipped and the breakfast was terrific.

Our family of four had a wonderful experience at Mayari Havana Apartment. The owner, María Teresa, was extremely helpful; she even provided a cell phone we could use in Cuba with wi-fi; she recommended restaurants that were excellent; she arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport at the same rate taxis charge from the airport to the apartment; every morning she provided a delicious breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs, a basket of breads, smoothies made of fruits, cheese, and deli cuts--it was truly a feast. She also provided bottles of water so we didn't have to worry about that. The apartment was cleaned every morning and towels and sheets were changed every day. Besides the great accommodations, the apartment is located in the heart of Old Havana, and we were able to walk throughout Old Havana which was wonderful. Mayari Havana Apartment exceeded our expectations. We recommend it without reservation, and our family hopes to return.

It was the perfect introduction to Cuba. Maria was very welcoming and when we eventually, reluctantly, left to tour the rest of Cuba she gave me her number in case we needed help in an emergency. We spent six days in the old town and this was the best location of all - a pedestrian only narrow street, minutes from everything with a balcony overlooking a bar with great live music. No noise issues, because they finished at a reasonable hour, but an incredible atmosphere. Finally, the breakfast was the best food we had in a month in Cuba.Best coffee too. Can't wait to go back.

We had a fantastic stay at this appartment. The location was perfect, we enjoyed an amazing home cooked breakfast every morning with Marie Therese. The place was spotless and cannot wait to come back again. We loved our stay - thank you!

Spotless, spacious apartment with everything you could need or want for a fantastic stay in Havana. Maria Theresa is fantastic. She gave us a Cuban cell phone pre-loaded with recommended restaurants and contacts. Every morning she cooked us an amazing breakfast with fruit, eggs, cheese, breads, etc. Location is in between Plaza Vieja and Plaza de Armas. Walking distance to everything in Old Havana. Pretty quiet location, but great restaurants right on the street.

This is a beautifully presented spacious apartment right in the centre of old Havana. Each morning, the owner made a delicious Cuban breakfast and placed fresh flowers in the apartment. The apartment was immaculately clean and in first class condition. The owner generously gave us a cell phone to cover for Cuba's relatively poor internet services. I would highly recommend this place if you are thinking of staying in Havana
