The property was very charming and the rooms suited their purpose. A bit pricey, though.

We booked this property for an authentic route 66 feel. We certainly got that … although shower I would not use. Beds were clean. No kettle in the room
Debbie, 1-night trip

Favorite place to stay in Kingman.
Eleanor, 1-night trip

Old and falling apart, uncomfortable bed
Leila, 1-night trip

Place was kind of run down considering it is supposed to be a Route 66 landmark and destination. Owner was very nice and informative about local sites and history.

Unique experience
Owner was extremely pleasant and welcoming. He told us many stories about the area and gave information about where to visit and restaurants.

Room was nice bathroom needs updates the bathtub had wood panel over the tub not useable. The shower lacked cleanliness. The bed itself was comfortable and clean .

Fantastic hosts and property
Lovely hosts that took time to explain Kingman history and provide dining recommendations! Fun hotel that gives you the feeling of Route 66 days…nostalgia is a big theme.

I booked this place last minute when other accommodation didn’t work out for me - it was way lovelier than I expected! The managers were super friendly and made sure that the room was clean and ready for me, and while I waited for that the manager gave me a quick history of the town and was very kind. Lovely room with great a/c (it was over 100 degrees during my stay and it was perfectly cool in the room). Highly recommmend!

Disappointing
Historic is one thing, neglected is another. My husband nailed it when he said it is like "putting lipstick on a pig." The whimsical murals can't disguise how tired and in need of some serious maintenance this place is. Dirty floors, some lights not working, no light at all in dark shower.

The long Route66 mural outside the origional rooms. Plus, the movie star themes for each room.

This is a wonderful historic motel, run by friendly enthusiast people. We enjoyed learning about the property and Kingman’s history from them.

Nice piece of Route 66 history but room could definitely need some updates. I suggest to stay somewhere else and come to take pictures.

Kathryn, 1-night trip

We stayed at the El Travadore because we were traveling Route 66. Owner was friendly and very knowledgable about the hotel and area.. Don’t be in a hurry to check in., he’s got a lot of information to share. Room was clean and had been somewhat remodeled, but there was not a convenient place to charge our phones or hearing aids. One surge protector bar behind the refrigerator. One 12x12 mirror in the bathroom above the sink.. I am not that short, but i had to stand on my tip toes to use it. Bed was comfortable. Glad we stayed and experienced the hotel, but probably will pick a more modern hotel if we come back.

Liked the historical aspect, need to restore room though. Clean and comfortable. Host shared history and info on area and services entertainingly.
Charles, 1-night trip

I liked the art of the property but the bathroom looked a bit dirty. I also felt the check in process has a possibility of being unsafe but they know the area better than me.
Daniel, 1-night trip

The hotel proprietor was a very charming and knowledgeable fellow. He was quite interesting to talk with. The motel as a whole is very, very old and showing it's age. Each room is decorated in a celebrity theme. We stayed in the Marilyn Monroe room. The motel does have a lot of charm if you don't mind crumbling and old. The bed was very comfortable.
