Ye Olde Argyler is a hidden gem. It a bit out of the way from the typical touristy stuff, but if you want a peaceful place to stay, this is it.

On my last night there, with a four hour ferry ride and a five hour drive ahead of me I got one and a half hour night sleep. There was a buzzing sound that kept me up all night. I can't say it was the fault of this establishment but it was coming from the wall. So I can't give a better review.

The property is located on a beautiful bay. The room was clean but poorly laid out. Large bathroom had a small pedestal sink - only spot to place cosmetics was on the toilet. We paid for oceanfront and the Ocean front room had a tiny high window - stand on your tiptoes to see the view. The way the bed was placed under a low ceiling you'd bang your head getting up. Would not return.

This property really does take your breathe away. It's peaceful and serene. We enjoyed both our supper and breakfast at the lodge. Everything was homemade and delicious.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this Lodge, and I can't speak highly enough about my experience. From the moment we arrived, the personable treatment we received made all the difference. Despite arriving late, the check-in process was seamless and stress-free, which set a positive tone for our stay. The room itself was spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I was pleasantly surprised to find the AC already set and running, which was a thoughtful touch given the late hour of our arrival by Elana. One of the highlights of our visit was how quiet and serene the property felt. It was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy our surroundings. We stayed only for one night but honestly wanted to stay more. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Lodge and would definitely return. The combination of comfortable accommodations, and a peaceful atmosphere made for an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended!

The people at Ye Olde Argyler Lodge were very friendly, they went over and above to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The whole area had the friendliest people I've ever met! It was an amazing vacation. We're going back and my other sisters are coming! I would definitely recommend this lodge as a place to stay. Just note the restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday but breakfast was served and it was delicious.

This lodge was the highlight of our trip! We can't say enough good things about the Argyler. The service was top-notch, the food at their restaurant was amazing, the wine/beer/cocktail selection was excellent, and the view and atmosphere were comforting. We stayed in the Midship room, and it had a double bed and a single bed, which worked well for us (two cousins travelling together). The AC unit is a standalone unit, which may be loud for some, but we loved the noise for sleeping. The Midship faces east so when the sun comes up, there is lots of light to wake you up!
