Loved, but flaws
There's a lot to love about this place but there were also some big misses too. Pro: beautiful building, great location, fantastic service. I liked going through the building, it was cool! Cons: very large "suspicious" white stain on pillows when I checked in, no hand soap available, and the towels smelled mildew-y

The layout of the hotel is odd because it's shared with a restaurant annd access is through a dark and narrow alley. There is no one on duty 24/7 so don't expect a rescue in an emergency such as accidentally locking yourself out of your room or the hotel after hours. My room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Good value for money considering the very central location.

The location of this hotel was perfect. Big garage right accross and very easy walk to everywhere in the old town of Brugge. However, and this is not disclosed anywhere, the hotel is on 3 floors with no elevators. The room we stayed in had a tiny bathroom (toilet) where the door would hit the knees. The heating is electric and only works when your key card is in the room so we were very cold when we came back in the evening and tried to go to sleep. There is no water or tea or coffee anywhere. The restaurant downstairs is not open in the morning. The beds were quite comfortable.

Awesome 2 star hotel that punches above its weight
This was a great little hotel to stay at in the heart of Old Bruges. Emil, the host, was totally amazing and went out of his way to help us find a place to dine on our first night as the onsite restaurant was closed. He also directed us to a local trappist bar woth an amazing selection of Trapoist style beers. We dined at hotels restaurant on our second night and I am glad we made reservations. The place was packed, and lots of locals were dining here - a testament to the quality of the good. The Flemmish stew was mouthwateringly delicious. Breakfast was by candlelight, and was a traditional europsan breakfast. There is a parkibg garage right across the street, just be careful as its crowded and some of the parking spots are tight. Bruges is an amazing city to visit, highly walkable, and felt very safe. Would definitely return to this hotel. Only downside though, if you are mobility challenged, there is no elevator. Rooms were a very nice size. Good value for the price we paid.

The hotel is in a good location close to amenities. The rooms are spacious and clean. It should be made aware when booking that there is no one on staff regularly and that no cleaning will be done on the rooms.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. We were there to see Bruges, not spend the day at the hotel. The beds were VERY comfortable and everything was clean. When they say 3:00 check in time, they are not kidding. They will let you leave your bags, which was terrific, but the area is not what I'd call secured. (A space under the stairs) Our shower was literally in our room, with the toilet in an attached WC. My in-laws had a complete attached bathroom in their room, but no door. They had shampoo and soap, we only had soap for our sink. All good, though. We made due with what we had and what we brought with us, had a great night's sleep, and enjoyed the town. We were there only one night, but I'd stay again. NOTE: Hallways as you can see in the photos are very dim. This was difficult for my father-in-law. Just something to keep in mind if your eyesight is not perfect.
