Older type of motel from the outside, inside was updated nicely. Very clean!! Comfortable beds and a refrigerator. Flat screen tv. Owner walks the grounds at night. Makes you feel safe. Needs a coffee maker.

Fine, but very hard bed
The owner was friendly. The room was old fashioned, but everything seemed to be clean and in good condition. My only complaint is about the bed. It was very hard and both my husband and I slept very badly on it. I actually got up hours before we had to leave and sat in the chair at the table, as I absolutely could not spend another minute in the bed. Everything else was fine, overall, but I unfortunately would not stay there again due to the condition of the bed. They should invest in some new mattresses.

Avoid, avoid, avoid
Run down. Looked like would charge by the hour. I was ready to leave after first room and bed on right side was covered in hait. At least 20. Obvious to me the bed wasn't changed after last stay. Fiance said the bathroom was clean but I didn't get that far. I was ready to take the loss and leave but they offered another room and fiance wasn't willing to take the loss. It wasn't covered in hair at least and bathroom was clean but was horribly run down. Noisy. Had to run air-conditioning to covered the noise of the highway right next to the room. This is definitely the worst experience I've had with a hotel. It's a tiny notch above a dump

When I first came here I honestly wasn't expecting much. The price was cheap, the area was a little weird, not close to anything. But I was blown away by how nice it was. The person running this establishment was super friendly and made sure our stay was super comfortable. I remember we came back from the convention we were at and needed the wifi password and he woke up and came to the front desk to give it to us since I didn't have anything to write it down on....at 1am. The rooms were nice and cool and the mini fridge was spacious enough to hold all the food we brought on our trip. The only minor complaint I had was the beds were a little stiff but that won't stop me from coming back here. You can't beat this establishment.

Not Fancy, but Clean, Quiet and Well Equipped
I spent three nights at the Plaza Motel while doing research at the Rutherford B. Hayes museum. It's not a fancy place to stay, but the room was very clean, it had a new fridge and flat screen TV, and the owner was very nice. As I drove up, I worried about the possibility of traffic noise since it seemed like a busy street, but the room was surprisingly quiet. I also worried that it might get cold at night since it was 11 degrees when I checked-in. But the room has its own heating element and I only needed to keep it at 2 out of 10 for the room to stay toasty. I had no trouble sleeping. There are a number of fast food chains on that road and it's very close to an independent pizza restaurant Pizza House, which was warm and friendly. I wish there was a better breakfast option really close by, but I did find a Bob Evans about 15 minutes away. The Plaza Motel worked out well for my trip.
