While this is a fairly nice property, it isn't close to very much, and the service is just "OK".
We had a number of specific issues that made the stay less enjoyable than it should have been:
1) We booked 2 suites - but when we got there they only had one for us. It turns out that they thought we didn't really want 2 suites, and decided to cancel one of them without sending a notice through Orbitz. They offered a room our 2nd night, but we had already unpacked and it didn't make sense to move at that point.
2) We had to wait nearly an hour for our bags to be brought to our room after we checked in.
3) My family went to the spa to use the "salt caves" - really just a room with 2 salt water pools. The staff was disorganized. We were told it would be a 5 min wait, but after more than 10 min - watching them let many other people in (even though the people arrived after our family), we reminded the staff that we were waiting and they then said it would be TWENTY more minutes... when we reminded them that they had said "5 minutes"... their response was "it is 5 Italian minutes!"??
4) Dinner was mediocre and the wait staff inattentive but pretty view
Overall, it is probably a 3 1/2 to 4 star experience. I should be giving them lower ratings since they only honored one of my 2 reservations, but I assume they don't do that to most people.
Just be aware that the service at this hotel is just "OK" - there are parts that are nice, and other areas where they clearly fall short.
