We planned a short getaway to Friday Harbor with our two small children. I booked the room with the garden terrace not quite knowing what to expect. WOW! Although we felt a little awkward with the kids (most people staying there at the time did not have kids), we were very warmly welcomed by the staff. The garden terrace rooms led right outside the the lawn, views of the ferries, and fire pits. We were able to get the kids asleep and step outside to enjoy a drink and the fires both nights. We regretfully did not eat dinner at the restaurant at Friday Harbor House (no menu options that seemed feasible for a picky toddler), but we did enjoy a delicious breakfast. The room and amenities were excellent. I enjoyed my first experience making coffee with a Chemex, and I appreciated the bottles of wine available for purchase just inside the room. If we had not brought the kids with us, I could have happily spent the whole time at the hotel enjoying the views. For those with kids, the grocery store is just down the street, the whale museum is next door, and there are multiple coffee shops and ice cream places a stone's throw away. I can't wait to come back here again!

The hotel has a stellar location overlooking Friday Harbor and the ferries. It was impeccably clean and had nice touches such as San Juan Roasters coffee pourover, fireplaces, and robes in the rooms. It is the perfect place for a weekend getaway!

Quiet and well appointed room overlooking Friday Harbor - beautiful. Didn't care for the large soaking tub in the middle of the room, took up too much space and we dislike tubs. But not a huge deal. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

Mini 30th birthday trip in the harbor
Our stay was short but nothing short of amazing! They had the fireplace on when we arrive, greeted by the coziest room! The room was clean, the coffee in the room was pour over style which we thought was fun, and great tea options! The staff was absolutely a delight! We will be back!
