Excellent experience
Excellent experience overall. We're a family of 4 and we got rooms 16 and 17 (one queen bed and one twin bed), they have the best location, separate from the main building with excellent views and lots of privacy (see pictures) . The only thing is that unless you are the first one in the building (4 rooms) taking a shower, chances are there will not be much hot water left. The restaurant serves very good food. The night walk in the reserve is expensive for what it is although our guide was very knowledgeable and kind.

Great location, food, scenery!
The setting is absolutely gorgeous! Our room was great, the food was so delicious and the cocktails were creative and yummy! The hiking trails, hammock garden and night hike made our stay even more fantastic. The only thing that wasn't exceptional was the friendliness of the staff. Some were great, but at least three of them were unfriendly and seemed bothered by our visit. Otherwise, everything was truly wonderful; we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property. Feels secluded from everything else. Immediately next door to the butterfly tour that we planned to stop by. The waitresses were not very nice. The waiters were nice and respectful. When we asked for a burger without pickles and mayo we received an eye roll. I'm not sure what the objection is to having a burger ordered to our liking. It's not as if we asked for a crazy substitution or taxed the kitchen with our request to omit toppings.

This place was so absolutely perfect. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and always helpful with suggestions, making reservations, and chatting about life in Monteverde. The property was gorgeous, with pristine rainforest trails that leave from your front door. The patio where an amazing breakfast is served has a view to die for. The food was really delicious and made with care. We saw coati, agouti, monkeys, frogs, so many birds on the property. I would recommend this place to anyone. What a gem!

It’s the most beautiful property to spend time, awesome service, great staff. Unfortunately, we were traveling with teenage kids & bathroom door will not lock or stay close, bathroom sink was leaking as well. Someone came to fix 2nd day evening but was unable to fix it as needed some parts which is understandable but living without bathroom privacy for 2 days stay was very uncomfortable. I wish they check their rooms & fix issues before handing over the keys or fix issues like this as soon as possible or give them different room. Thank You.

The trails through the Nature Reserve are like having your own mini national park outside your room. Much more extensive than expected, great variety, and well maintained. The indoor/outdoor lobby, restaurant, and courtyard have spectacular views of the Pacific. The food and fresh fruit drinks were excellent and service was friendly. Rooms are modern and well appointed.
