Ancestral Knowlton B&B

We had a splendid weekend at the Ancestral Knowlton B&B. Peter and Yvonne were wonderful hosts and the room was exactly as advertised! The breakfasts were amazing!

Peter and Yvonne were welcoming and courteous. They provided excellent recommendations for the area as well as a fantastic multi-course breakfast which included homemade baked goods and jams.

We made this property our “home base” for our weeklong vacation in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada and it was absolutely perfect! Our room and private bath were spotlessly clean and kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The bed and linens were very comfortable and the whirlpool tub overlooking the lovely back gardens provided a luxurious soak at the end of a long day of touring. The beamed ceilings, wood accents and overall decor is warm and inviting. I read on another review about the lack of television and it is true that there are no TVs in the rooms but there is excellent WiFi service. We loved the relaxing atmosphere of this place and tv would have spoiled it actually. We were busy touring, golfing, dining etc and used our evenings to read a little and then cozy in for a good nights sleep. Tv was unnecessary. A review here would not be complete however without emphasizing this B&Bs most outstanding feature - the breakfasts! The host does all his own baking and cooking and each morning was a new culinary delight utilizing local foods and cuisine. The breakfasts were simply marvelous. In addition the hosts were helpful and knowledgeable about the area with good recommendations for dining and touring AND were kind enough to pack us food to take along on an all day road trip to Quebec City. They couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating. This property is outstanding and deserves every star of our five star rating!

My husband and I just spent a wonderful two nights at this gem of a B&B in Knowlton. It is well situated for exploring the Eastern Townships, and we commuted back and forth to a fiddle festival in Sutton. Everything is clean and well appointed, and Peter's breakfasts are a reason alone to stay here! Yvonne and Peter are wonderful hosts and we are already looking forward to a return visit.

The hosts, Peter and Yvonne were charming and personable. They made us feel at home and gave us much useful advice for enjoying our stay in Knowlton.

Cette propriété est incroyable. La chambre que nous avions réservée, l'ancestrale, avait son propre ``mini spa`` avec vue sur les superbes jardins et étangs dans la cour. Les déjeuners étaient copieux et délicieux. L'endroit était tranquille et nous a mis en mode relaxation dès notre arrivée.

This property is very charming. Your hosts, Peter and Yvonne are very welcoming and helpful. Peter is a gormet chef, so breakfasts are a delicious treat!
