Decent campsite with glamping style tents
I will only comment on the glamping tents as that’s where we stayed. Good standard, perhaps over-priced for the standard. Friendly staff and good service. Showers on site were of a good standard Glamping tent area had a gas grill and washing up point, a central fire pit and a games tent. All in positive

Fun glamping experience!
Will definitely stay here again! Beautiful location on the lake and only a 5min walk to town. The bell tent was very comfy and clean, the kitchen had everything we needed including a refrigerator, and the bathrooms and showers were great. We loved swimming in the lake, having dinner by the fire pit, and grabbing a latte from the food truck in the morning.

Glamping!
We had a good, comfortable glamping experience at Lake Hawea. The tent was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the area is beautiful. Check in was easy and friendly. The heated mattresses were definitely a bonus!

We booked a lake side tiny cabin which doesn’t have any toilets or washrooms attached for a day but we reached late. Thought our key was given to us but since it was raining and toilets/kitchen/bathrooms were far we thought of changing it. But we kept calling the number written on the wall of the reception but no one picked. This makes us wander what if in night we need some help n these guys won’t even pick up. We didn’t have any water in our room n we had to walk in rain for toilets n water n food. Rest the stay was good, just like mentioned but we didn’t know that facilities will be this far

This place was exactly what we saw online and the staff were lovely. What an awesome way to spend the afternoon overlooking the lake with a quick (freezing) dip in the lake then kicking back relaxing.

Overall, We're satisfied and happy with our stay. It's just that I needed to book 2 cabins instead of 1 cabin that can accomodate family of 5-6. Hoping also they got dim lights specially at night. We can't sleep with a full light on.

The View
Cant beat the view and location to the lake. Absolutely spectacular. The cabin is rustic but comfortable. Firewood for the stove was provided. Shared showers were nice and hot. Lighting in the cabin was a bit temperamental but a great stay.

We stayed one night in a Bell Tent. The tent was gorgeous and cosy, and the property/campground is absolutely stunning! A few things let us down slightly - firstly we requested an infant cot which we were told could be put in our tent but when we arrived (after hours) we found no infant cot. As the office was already closed we just had to make do but unfortunately our 1yo daughter rolled off the bed in the night and we had a terrible sleep trying to make sure she was safe. Secondly we didn’t realize the Bell tents are located the furthest from the water at the back of the property near the main road. It didn’t matter so much as we arrived when it was dark and in the morning took a drive around the lake but if you want to be right on the lake you need to book a Denver Tent instead. Otherwise the location is fantastic, the bathrooms were a close walk and very clean, and our tent was super warm and cosy.
