BUSINESS TRIP ME ONLY
Great stay, not really too sure why people have left negative feedback for this place ? I can only imagine they have Rolls Royce taste & Skoda budgets as the saying goes ? Im a sales rep so i stay away quite a bit. yes this place isnt the most luxurious - but look at what you pay. It ticked all the boxes for me. & i stay away quite a bit. Yes the bar area is small ish, but that to me is an appeal. They have a larger restaurant area if that's better suited ? It was a cosy pub atmosphere. The food was very good.

A great find
A last minute overnight stay. Had a fantastic room, so big, staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Great value. Fabulous breakfast. Quiet, family games to play, plenty of sockets for charging. Lovely, reasonable meal in the restaurant. Would recommend

This was a very relaxing stay in a genuinely picturesque setting. Despite being a pub, it was quiet and I was never disturbed by noise. Only downside was I had difficulty getting WiFi in my room but was able to get it in the main section of the pub. Thank you for the caring hospitality.

Slightly Disappointed...
Made us feel well welcome but from there being no hot water to have a shower with upon arrival after a 6 hour journey, to not even being able to use the bath/ shower due to the fitting fixtures being broken or missing. Breakfast was Great i will give them that. Was rather distressful overall was not the greatest experience and the place could do with a clean up externally as is very run down. The guy on site was clearly not supported by management due to lack of staff which is not his thought. I Blame the management for not supporting him and not maintaining their property and surrounding ground. DO NOT EXPECT ONE GUY TO RUN YOUR BUSINESS WITHOUT SUPPORT!!

Average accommodation without any luxuries.
Staff friendly and helpful. Room looked good on arrival but unfortunately not as comfortable as it looked and lacked any luxury touches. Mattress on the bed very saggy on both sides and raised in the middle, towels thin and worn, very basic tea and coffee in rooms. Bathroom fittings incomplete or missing. Breakfast “buffet” consisted of few cereas, potted yoghurts and fruit juice. Cooked food in evening and cooked breakfast satisfactory.

Good value stay
Our stay was good, the room was perfectly fine, clean and tidy. Had several areas of cosmetic damage that could be sorted out but otherwise all good. The breakfast was nice but the actual pub is tiny. Hardly anywhere to sit, more like the size of a living room. The restaurant is much bigger. The people were very friendly though. Dog friendly too.

The room is lovely, the staff are lovely but lately the bar has a lack of a few things which is not idea given the rooms have been fully booked. Breakfast is good but granary is not always granary and is basic thin brown bread!

Scroll past and Stay away
Room was freezing cold. Tv didn’t work And to top it all there was no hot water for a shower seems the boiler had tripped out of the boiler is faulty get it fixed or don’t take bookings. Breakfast was good but sitting there eating it in the cold was very uncomfortable.

It is a lovely place to stay. The only thing I would request is a little added choice for a vegetarian who doesn’t eat mushrooms! But other than this will be staying again 😊

Comfortable room with character
Very comfortable room with character. Staff were young, but very competent. My evening meal was excellent, as was the breakfast. Boiler issue meant no hot water for a morning shower. Staff apologetic & my room rate was sufficiently compensated. (Same staff member as previous evening). I'd stay again for sure.
