Stopover night when travelling
Rooms were nice, beds very comfortable. Cleaning lacked a bit, had to clean off night table and there was something left in fridge. No tissues and toilet flushed poorly. Perfect stopover location though. Breakfast good as well.

Room had outdated smelly carpet. Musty smelling room like smoking in excess. I was disappointed because it is my hometown and at one time one of the best., Breakfast very limited. I moved to another area 20 miles away in Fairmont WV for less and a cleaner environment.

Shower only had hot water, could not adjust, bathroom not very clean, dirt in the corners, on baseboard tile.
Rug did not feel clean when walking barefoot.
Not vacuumed in the corners of room.
Alarm not shut off, went off at 4am.
Smelled like mildew.
Did have plenty of towels and beds were comfy.

Bad experience.
1st room outside light was broke and door was would not open. Front desk said door key entry battery must be dead.
2nd room smelled like smoke and mildew. So we asked for a 3rd room.
3rd room had 3 cockroaches in it. Small one on the phone by the bed. Another on the wall, third was on curtains. It was really late. My wife was freaking out and she only saw one.
Next morning at breakfast employees were talking about quitting and how money was missing from the front register. We showed pictures of cockroaches to front desk. They said they would get owner. Owner came up and said sorry, and apologized. Said he just got back from India and hasn’t been able to stay on top of property but that was not an excuse. Said he would try to refund money but want sure if he could because we booked through Expedia.

Rooms need updated. Limited breakfast. While our room was just OK a little musty and furniture stained. We sprayed febreeze and didn’t use the stained furniture. Other family members rooms were filthy and moved and still not acceptable was going to buy stuff and clean themselves but decided to leave and go to the Hampton Inn down the road instead. So I got stuck there and brother and sister families were able to cancel still pending if they can get $ back from Hotels.com & Choice hotels. Expedia would not refund without penalty. We will not be staying there next year and will debate using Expedia again.

The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. Considering my family and I were only staying the night, we didn't use any other features of the inn besides the ice maker.
The inn is located across the street from a Sheetz gas station and a Walmart which was very convenient. This helped us out by allowing us time to grab a few items we needed for our trip. The gas prices were also the cheapest around, extremely convenient for our stay at the inn.
The morning breakfast options were very limited (as compared to other locations) but due to the size of the dinning area, understandable.
The biggest problem my family had was the room we were auto assigned. The AC unit for room 110 didn't work and made it an extremely uncomfortable night to sleep with. Luckily, my wife brought a small fan with us to help cool us a bit. Upon letting the morning staff know about the AC unit, they were upset to see we were assigned that room and knew the room had a broken AC unit. The night staff (when we checked in) didn't seem to know there was an issue. Just be aware that this room might be an issue still (as of 8/2/24) when we stayed.
