Beachside Inn

Easy to find. But it was kind of smelly. Carpet was dirty.

The pics online are misleading. It's a bit run down really. There were wine stains on the nightstands, cabinets and dirty walls. The baseboards haven't been cleaned in quite some time. Dirty around the fridge and microwave and windows. The location is great and with a solid deep cleaning, it would have gotten better reviews from us. The sheets were clean but the blankets were not. Overall, it is just poorly kept up which is too bad. A small amount of attention to the property would make a world of difference. We won't stay here again.

I booked only 2 days before coming to Seaside and really thought I was on another site which somehow transferred me to yours. This is fine but because I didn't get any further instructions we went to the desk office to find out the information to get into the lock box and the staff was very helpful. The problem is that trying to find the unit didn't give me enough time to get to my Artist Reception and change clothes. If the instructions go to your trash then maybe there is a better way to give people the directions to the unit and instructions. A one night stay was just fine after returning from my event.

I would highly recommend staying elsewhere...as a frequent Seaside visitor, this is by far the worst place I've stayed at. For something costing $200+ a night off season, I was expecting this to be a very comfortable, clean and secure place. I emailed the owners my concerns several days ago and haven't heard a response (even though they reached out to me first), so I am warning others: these rooms are not being properly cleaned, if honestly at all. I found a used mask and lotion bottle under the bed, and wrappers on the bathroom floor. I would not be surprised if the beds weren't changed. I also was terrified to shower there, let alone use the towels that may or may not have been changed. Pros: -Close to the beach. -Had a kitchenette with a decent amount of items to cook with. -Had a fireplace Cons: -The kitchenette had basic equipment, there wasn't any oil, salt, or coffee (which is common for cabins in my previous experience) -The temps would not stay consistent, it went from freezing to too hot and back to cold, all night long. -Bed is bouncy, it's not ideal for 2 people to sleep on unless you like being bounced around all night. -Every time the guests next door closed their door, the entire wall would shake. Not just hearing their door close, like the ENTIRE wall shakes. Which was fun in the morning when their kids were running in and out of their room. -Some of their windows are clearly falling apart, the locks are broken and there are sticks used to secure them.

It was small. No one was in the office and I took one look in the room and saw that it had stained carpet, zero view and a smell that was making me sick to my stomach. So there was no way that i could stay there. On their booking website it said that there was FREE cancellation. However, when I called to see if I could get my money back I was told no due to their Deposit policy! What a waste!

Cute place. The staff were very nice. Room was small but cozy.

This place is super cute and cozy. The location is great and quiet. Really easy short walk to the beach and town. Love the layout and the fact that there’s a full size kitchen with everything you need. It could use a little TLC and some updates and some light bulbs replaced lol but other than that this place isn’t bad at all. We drive a large SUV so parking was a little sketchy so we just parked on the road and it was fine. We’ll definitely be back!

When I booked the room it said we'd get an email with checkin info, but the email never came (probably just a snafu). I called the number and the woman who answered was great. In fact, we had an issue with our TV remote when we first checked in and the guy we talked to at their main hotel was helpful also, so kudos on their customer service. The motel is old, but they have updated it with fresh colors and did a great job on the interior decorating, so it had a lot of charm. My problem was with the cleanliness and maintenance of the room. There was a bar type security lock on the door, but they had mounted the post too far over so the bar would slide right off, giving us no way to prevent someone from entering the room with a metal key (which they suggest you leave in the lockbox outside the door). They advertise that the room has a kitchenette, but they don't tell you that you are expected to clean all the dishes and empty the garbage. Fine if I had rented a house, but I didn't expect to spend vacation time doing this at a motel. The counters, and especially the floor around the garbage, were filthy which led me to believe they probably only did a very cursory clean up between guests. We were here over Labor Day in the summer of COVID19, so they didn't offer cleaning each day (perfect for us), but you would think they would be extra diligent about cleaning after checkout. Also, the kitchen was missing essential items like paper towels for spills, cork screw, fresh sponge.
