Poor, but only choice in Herkimer.
Dated and worn room. Room door did not seal, let frigid air (January) pour in. Heater had to run continuously all night just to keep room barely at 64. Had to sleep with a down vest on. Desk person at check in was friendly, professional and helpful, desk person in the morning, not so much, she called me at exactly 11:01 am. as I was walking out the door, to curtly "remind" me that check-out was at 11:00 am. Sadly this is the best hotel in Herkimer... next time I'll drive the extra 30 minutes to stay elsewhere... anywhere but here.

Warm and comfortable port in a storm
The staff are outstanding!! Very friendly and efficient! The lobby was especially warm and inviting with the fire and holiday decorations. The free coffee, etc was a very nice touch! Breakfast room was spotless and the offerings were ample! Fresh fruit, many cereal and bread options, boiled eggs, yogurt. We arrived during a snowstorm, and our room was cold, so we needed the heat on full blast for the entire stay.

The facility was easy to get to, ample parking. Eric, at the front desk, was very friendly & easy to communicate with. He was very informative. The rooms were clean and updated. The continental breakfast was sufficient (cereal, yogurt,fruit,muffins etc). The check out process was simple & quick. We would definitely stay here again.

Housekeeping ruined our plans to sleep until 9 am
This hotel has ample parking for large vehicles. The front desk people were very helpful and the check-in was quick. We would give it below average rating though because the bathroom was not clean and most importantly, even though we had a “Do Not Disturb” sign on our front door, Housekeeping” started loudly beating on our door at around 8:15 am. We would not stay here again because of housekeeping’s total disregard our “Do Not Disturb” sign on the front door and the dirty bathroom.
